The charter is pricey and not as inclusive as a regular Azamara cruise. Still eight months away, though.

On the Titanic charter sailing in 2012 , prices took quite a nosedive a month or so before it sailed

This is really disheartening to read so many comments regarding a what appears to be cost saving measures in the MDR. We also have noticed a definate change on our last few cruises, both on the Quest and the Journey, and have posted only on one incident. In fact we spoke to F&B regarding the incident, but repeating myself, changes are happening and unfortunately seem to be on the increase.It is such a shame that these measures are impacting a part of our cruises that we all look forward to. This is not just the opinion of a few passengers but a much larger portion that seems to be noticing and we are just a small percentage that are on CC.

Azamara has a lot of faithful followers, ourselves included, and I think we all would hate to be chased away to other lines for something that could certainly be rectified.

I do hope that the powers that be are reading these comments from the dedicated Azamarians that are being posted here.

We have been cruising with Azamara since 2010 and we have noticed over the past few years that the quality of food in the MDR has been going down. For example when they had a steak on the featured menu for one night it was not much thicker than the sole of a shoe . A lady sitting at our table sent hers back 3 times as they could not get it cooked to medium as per her request , probably because it was so thin !! She finally gave up after the 4 th one . This was the cruise which took in Thanksgiving., and the so called Thanksgiving meal a few days later was a disaster ! It was a turkey roll which was very disappointing when you are looking forward to turkey carved from a bird and yes we had sweet potatoe -- 1 little round slice and a few green beans . Pumpkin pie was served but the slice so small that it looked like maybe they got 16 slices from 1 pie !! A totally disappointing meal. It is a shame to see that each year the MDR food seems to be going downhill.

We spoke to the food & beverage manager the following day and all we got from him were excuses about the quality and quantity and that it had nothing to do about making his budget

Yes we do still continue to sail with Azamara each year hoping that this will soon start to go uphill. Sorry to hear that things seem to be remaining on a downward spiral.

Yet we still love the Azamara experience .

I think sandals at dinner is pushing the dress code a bit far, but the head waiter was way out of line addressing you in public / in front of your table mates. It should have been addressed at a later time, in private (if at all).

Not sure what is wrong with dress sandals ?? Yes flip flops would be inappropiate but a lot of very stylish dress shoes have a similar appearance to so called sandals. We should not be defined by what we wear or where we shop. As long as one dresses to the occasion then that should be all that matters.

Yes, I can see them - but terms and conditions says it's only valid for US and Canadians residents. I can see the bus but it doesn't stop... The AU web hasn't the same terms for the offers. Thanks anyway :)

If you go on Azamara's web site for Sweden , you will see the same deals that are being offered in the USA and CA. are available there also

UK has free flights and on the AU. web site they have up to 35% off and the choice of free internet or the $300 obc.

Just received the email and noticed that there are many longer voyages; no mention of a "world cruise" but indeed several long segments from Australia to Europe. I'm so disappointed that there are no cruises on the Eastern U.S. (I was hoping for a non charter cruise from Canada to Miami) and nothing at all for the Western U.S. There is a mention of new smaller ports but I guess we have to wait a few days for the details. I'm afraid that nothing in the itineraries as described at present is at all appealing.

We too are somewhat disappointed that there are no Eastern U.S. cruises nor Western U.S. Also would have liked to see some west coast of South America cruises. Hopefully maybe 2019 ??

The lobster salad looks like something I'd like to have frequently!

Me too !!! Sure wish they would add lobster tails to menu too !!

I may be wrong but wouldn't Lobster be in Aqualina rather than Prime C? It is the steak house after all. Perhaps they have served Lobster in Prime C before and I've only been focussed on the great steaks!

Anyway, after the revolting surf and turf served on Holland America Zuiderdam last week, I may be giving it a miss for a while. :(

You are correct that it used to be on the old Aqualina menu but this past February there was no lobster served on their new menu. Just hoping that they will start to serve it again in one or the other specialty restaurant. If Prime C then surf and turf and if Aqualina just a delicious broiled lobster like they served on old menu .

Kind of disappointed. Missing Lobster Tail in the shell. Do see the warm water lobster salid but, I salivate for Warm Water South African/Australian Lobster Tail!!

That was my only disappointment too. Sure hope they will put lobster tails back on menu. " surf and turf " sounds good !!!

It's true! Our Executive Chef Robert is rolling out new menus for the Prime C specialty restaurants. They will be available beginning July 18 on the AZAMARA QUEST. (I see through this forum they're already being tested onboard!) I'm attaching one of the menus for you.

The AZAMARA JOURNEY will offer the new menu beginning October 8.

Excellent video Bonnie, I was quite disappointed when it finished, look forward to more. Took a little while to get used to the controls on my iPad, is there a way of making the video full screen and losing the bottom control panel?

Tap the top of your ipad screen and it should come up full screen and then tap again to bring back the control panel
