  1. I absolutely agree that I would not give the Casino advance warning of your arrival. I have run 2 slot pulls on 2 different ships. I never notified the Casino Manager in advance other than when we all walked into the casino. IMHO this gives them less time to "possibly" set the machine to pay off less. Maybe you would miss out on a free drink but I would rather win lots of money. The Casino manger and her staff were excellant when they saw so many people who were going to participate.

Here is what I posted on Cruise Critic on the thread for our cruise:

    THE SLOT PULL

HOW DOES IT WORK? - Everyone who wants to participate will bring their $15.00 to the meeting spot. You will each get five (5) pulls on a dollar slot machine that utilizes $3.00/pull. The winning money will accumulate in the machine and that will be divided among the participants at the end of all pulls. The payoffs will be in even dollars.

The extra money above the even dollars will be awarded to the player who gets the group the highest amount on their slot pulls. Each person’s winnings will be recorded at the time of their pulls so we know who will get the side pot of the money after the even dollar pay-out.

WHEN WILL WE DO THIS? - We will meet XXXXXXXXX @ XXX on the starboard side of the casino Fiesta Deck 6 just outside the Casino. We will all go into the Casio together and start our play.

Payoffs will be handled immediately afterwards and handed out to all who joined in the Slot Pull.

    · If you wish to participate' date=' please give me your name and cabin # in case there is any [u']change[/u] at all in the schedule and I can notify you. We need more people to make this lots of fun, so please join in. This is what I need for those who want to participate:

o Your names – first names only for each person who is going to participate.

o Your cabin # in case there is any change in plans and I can call and leave a message in your cabin

If you do not want to post that information here, you can email me at XXXXXXXX

By having this information in advance, I can make up a chart at home to track names the amount each person wins on their pulls.

I also have an Excel spread sheet that you can print in advance to track how much each person won for the group. If you will give me your email address, I will forward that spread sheet.

    These are always great fun.

    Hey Ann,

Were you with us on a cruise and did the Slot pull?

    Hugh :D

  2. On our last cruise I tried to use my CC at the ATM and it was declined. I found out my bank needed prior notice I was going to be out of the country. So beware and check to see if you use a Bank debit card.

  3. We are leaving on the golden princess on 3/1 and just received our cabin assignment yesterday. The good new was we were booked in an outside balcony guaranteed and we were upgraded to a full suite.

Nice! that happened to use on the Golden also, it was our first cruse ever!! And we haven't stopped sailing!!

    Have a great cruise:D

  4. Well, according to my computer I downloaded 3,459 pictures from my camera and iPhone. That total doesn't even count the ones that I took while on Royal Princess and then deleted them for some reason or another. But I've narrowed it down to only 1,391 pictures. ;)

Those taken at our Meet and Greets I've posted directly on those Roll Calls. And as many pictures as I took, and even though I ate in Sabatini's twice, funny thing is I never took pictures of that dining venue other than of the table that night our group ate there. And I wish I had taken more 'people' pictures. I regret not doing that.

With that said, here are the various albums covering my two weeks on Royal Princess.

Maybe through these images you will enjoy the journey as much as I did. I truly hope you enjoy them. :D

Royal Princess, Part 1 (482 pictures)

Royal Princess Bridge Tour (55 pictures)

Up, Down, and Around (Stairwells, some art, etc., 49 pictures)

Royal Princess, Part 2 (696 pictures)

Patters, MDR, menus, etc. (65 pictures)

Happy New Year to everyone!!! :D:D:D

    Fantastic, great picture, thanks!!!

    Hugh:)

  7. If anyone has a series of cabin and the related balcony photo's, please help all of us understand what these cabins and balcony's really look like from the inside.

It is soo hard to really appreciate what everyone is talking about without seeing what they are upset or happy about.

Please you lucky travelers post those photo's and let all of us experience, "seeing is believing"..:o

    Thanks!

I can send you a video of the mini suite and balcony.

  8. Not sure just how big the CPAP machine is, but mine comes apart and is about half the size without the water tank. I don't take the tank with me on the cruise. I keep this and all my meds with me in a small carry on. I never check them. ADA gives you the right to carry it on just about anything.

Thanks, my wife has a travel size c-pap, always takes the tank. With all the traveling we will be doing from lodge to lodge she was wondering how anyone carried it around along with a backpack full of meds and personal items.

The instructions from PC indicates that what we take on the busses as to fit under the seat.

    Thanks,

    Hugh
