  1. Thank you for the info. Happy Sailing!
  2. I am going on a 14 day cruise and was wondering if there are any self serve laundry facilities on the Eclipse. It seems like the self serve laundries are being phased out on other cruise lines. I would also like to know if I am able to bring bottled water on board when I return to the ship after a shore excursion. Thanks for any info.
  3. Does anyone know if there are laundry machines available to passengers on the Radiance? We will be sailing on the Radiance next June after a four day pre-cruise and was trying to decide on how much clothes to take with us.
  4. I just returned home from a 12 day cruise on the Ruby. Our room was directly across from the laundry room and I loved it. The laundry room door opened into a dead space that led to the real door of the laundry room. There was no noise whatsoever coming from the room....and it was wonderful being so close that you could see when it was available to use. My room was B611 and I would request it again on another cruise.
  5. Jordon Pond has the best seafood chowder in the Northeast....and the best crabcakes...and their popovers are to die for!!!
  6. Yes, we are flying. The luggage tags just identify our ship, cabin number, sail date and our names. My gut tells me that we can put them on our luggage after our pre-cruisetour, but I wanted to find out for sure. Thank you for your response.
  7. We are doing a 5 day pre-cruise tour. Do we attach the Ruby Princess luggage tags to our luggage before we leave home or attach them on the day of embarkment?
  8. If you use your laptop in your room, are you still charged for using the internet? If so, how does that work?
  9. I agree .... the Old Town Trolley Tours are better. You can hop on/hop off at many locations. You can tour at your own pace...get off at the stops that interest you and then hop back on later to continue the tour. My daughter and I did this tour and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
  10. Wow....great debate. Now, I've changed my mind. I'm leaning towards taking a copy of my passport on shore excursions and leaving the real deal in the room safe...at least that's what I'm thinking today. Thanks everyone.
  11. Thank you, everyone, for your replies. After reading all responses, I think I've come to the conclusion that we'll take the cautious route and take them with us....just in case. Thanks again.
  12. While on shore excursions in the Mediterranean, should we take our passports with us or leave them on the ship? If not, should we take some form of ID?
  13. We are travelling to the Western Mediterranean on the Ruby Princess in September with a pre-cruise in Rome. How's the weather that time of the year? Will it be hot and humid? Rainy? And...will we need an Italian phrase book? Thank you for any information you might have.
