Happy Monday and good morning!
calling for 86 degrees and humid here in Montreal. Love seeing the pictures of my hometown!🙂 On a hot day like today I am glad the horse -drawn carriages (calèches) are a thing of the past.

Remembering with love all our wonderful dogs who passed. We lost our last furbaby in December, for the first time in 43 years we do not have a dog. We are, however minding our grand dog. He has been an angel, has not destroyed anything! Waiting for the other shoe to drop, lol.
Recovering nicely from my wasp sting.
Hope everyone has a wonderful afternoon!!

He was fine 😄 He only swallowed the hamburger buns! The rest were mostly shredded , not eaten.
Thanks for the welcome!

I hope you are soon feeling better, Vanesss 🙏🏻 I wonder if Imodium would help? I think you definitely need a nap, poor thing. Take care.
Good news, indeed Jim 👍
Nice to see you posting, Jo. Don’t be a stranger. You are most welcome here every day 🙂. I laughed at your story but OMG I can’t figure out how the dog didn’t need to get to a vet with the mask, socks and remote.
I am sure you have your house well dog proofed this time 😉
thinking of you Terri. I hope you can work through it and remember, some people are not worth your hurt or time. Sometimes we find out the hard way who our true friends are. 😢

Thanks for the Daily!!
I rarely post but visit quite often. Nice group of people here.
We just booked a TA for next fall on HAL and are really looking forward to it 🙂.
We are on our way to pick up our grand dog as our son and family are going on vacay for a week.
Our grand dog is a Dobie mix rescue. He is a sweetheart but he is a thief! Last time we took care of him he ate a TV remote, 2 socks, a N95 mask and 6 hamburger buns. Lol.
we are ready this time😂

Happy Easter and thanks for the Daily!
I have to walk around my elderly Beagle pretty much all day long.
we are taking our grandson to the park today and will give him his Easter basket, that’s about all we could do this year, no family gathering.
wishing all a wonderful day!

Thanks so much for the Daily!!
Love all the sharing, pictures, memes.
I am a lurker😄 but have made this thread part of my morning routine.
One year ago today I left work, little did I know that I would never return🙁
I retired last August as planned , but no goodbye hugs with the people who were such a big part of my life. It was more of a drive-by retirement party.
There are definitely brighter days ahead, and I’m keeping those who have lost so much in my thoughts.

Love the cat pictures!
We are dog people, however if I wasn’t allergic to cats, I’m sure we would have cats too!
Finally got a bit of snow, about 5 inches, it looks beautiful.

Tourtière Québécoise
1 1/2 lb minced pork
1 small chopped onion
1 clove garlic minced
1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon savory
1/4 teaspoon celery salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves, I put a bit more.
1/2 cup beef bouillon
1 small grated potato
cook all ingredients in saucepan till thickened and meat is fully cooked, about 30 min.
cool mixture, then spoon in pastry lined pie plate, cover with top crust, brush with egg wash and make 4 or 5 slits on top.
Bake at 400 F , around 20 minutes covered, another 15 minutes uncovered or until golden brown.
Note: ground beef/veal/pork mix can also be used , or any of the three.
the original ,however, is pork only.
this recipe is by memory😄 herbs and spices quantity are to taste.

Welcome, Jo! Any chance you would be willing to share your recipe? I keep trying to find “the one”.
And thank you for posting the French words with the correct accents. Some programs do that automatically for me, but not this time.
I don’t mind sharing but I don’t have a recipe per se.... I will check my old recipe folder... might have it somewhere😄
