To be fair, many agencies are finding themselves short of drivers and guides last year and this year (i.e., post-pandemic) as many had to find other employment during the shutdown, which greatly impacted the tourism industry.

That is a fair point, @cruisemom42  I am a past customer of Rome in Limo, and also Stefano at Rome Cabs - both excellent services. RIL is trying to work with us and making recommendations to other companies (who are also booked). I just wish they had given more notice than 2 weeks - especially after holding our reservation the previous 8 months. Best of luck to all of you, and enjoy la dolce vita in Italy!

Now that you have been moved to the best place, look around the board. Look for the huge thread on Rome in Limo. They are excellent.

We are 14 days away and Rome in Limo has cancelled our tour with no explanation other than to say they have no availability. We have had a reservation for 8 months. Today I'm out here on the boards seeking an alternative. I would say beware of their service.

  3. The cruise lines usually recommend not booking a flight prior to noon.  Airlines recommend arriving at the airport two hours prior to an international flight.  I'm struggling with the same scheduling issue as @ravenrob, and am toying with a ship's tour prior to departure to fill the time before the flight.  The devil on my shoulder tells me "You can totally make that 11:15am departure😈 while the angel on the other shoulder whispers, "Do you really want to suffer the anxiety of not making the flight on time?👼 Decisions... decisions...

  4. Stefano with RomeCabS cannot be beat! He's an excellent tour guide and works hard to give you exactly what you're looking for. Just communicate your expectations and he aims to please. Clean car, on time, and always prompt to get you from one spot to another. We will be using him again soon.

Don't know RomeCab - but suspect they are a counterfeit group trying to make a buck off Stefano's hard work.

  5. I guess, for me, it was Kermit, hands down. I just can't get enough of the pie dipped in chocolate. I thought it had the best flavor. But HEY, don't cheat yourself and go try them ALL! :)

Oh yeah--I still have dreams of eating frozen key lime pie on a stick dipped in chocolate. Makes my mouth water, baby! :D
