No not at all. You'll find it on the desk with a cover on it. We always order extra desserts that you'll only see once in the DR.

Oh, btw if you like you can always go to a show and return to the DR just before they close in the evening to dessert & coffee. Usually at 9 PM sharp.

That is great to know!! Returning to the dining room for dessert. Thanks

  2. #1 the true advantage booking with Princess,  is they won't leave you. But thay being said we have booked outside the cruise line and have never had any problems.  I can say we did an excursion in Belize through the cruise line, my daughter had booked independently, same excursion, and hers was way smaller, they got there before us and was done before we even arrived.  As we were setting in the theater with all other passengers waiting to be called.

Sorry I can't answer the other ?, as I've never booked packages.

I pre punch a hole in the luggage tags before leaving home.  Then use a tiny ziptie to attach the luggage tag to the suitcase either at the hotel or before dropping off the luggage.  No need to ask anyone if they have a stapler.

I bought a pack of card stock paper by mistake.  Makes a very good luggage tag.

This is what we do also, except we cover the tags with packing tape.

  4. Thanks for asking this question.  We sail on her again,  but been a few years,  in a couple weeks and I was wondering about the dress code.   And I'm glad to see no snarky remarks about , that's been asked on here many times.

  5. Good luck! We had a cruise canceled due to covid.  We got an email that said if we rebook, $200 obc. We rebooked, for some reason the lady we talked to could not get the obc to show on the cruise.  So she said I'll just cancel that cruise and rebook, I specifically asked will that affect the obc, no not at all.   They had our deposit from the canceled cruise,  she refunded that and that is how we lost $250 obc. We had$50 from 1st canceled cruise. I tried many ways to get our obc, but since we asked for our deposit back,  WHICH WE DIDN'T,  they couldn't do anything.   Really doesn't set well.

  6. I had a cruise booked. MSC canceled. Covid, BUT if you rebook you get $200. On board credit. So we rebooked, BUT customer service said that i  didn't qualify , because customer service Canceled, MSC had our deposit.  So since the rep  I talked to didn`t handle things properly,  i` m out 200 obc. She couldn't get the obc to apply, so she said she would just cancel, send our deposit back, i asked numerous times, will this affect the obc. Her answer was I always no. I've tried several times, and have been told no several times. We also had $50 obc from the canceled cruise, so we actually are out $250.00

Ladies, please I’m gonna need your help. Going on a cruise 2/17-2/24 and I was wondering if I can bring my tiny small flat iron (hair straightener), cause I have short hair. Thank you for your help 😉

We will be on that cruise also.   Along with our daughter and son in law.  His 1st cruise.  Looking forward to it.            We cruised in Nov,  different line, but they took my travel steamer, anyone know if MSC will allow?

Have you examined what documents your mother might need to fly home from Grand Turk or St. Thomas in event of a medical emergency?  "Guessing" that she will be O.K. would not be my choice.

I totally understand what you are saying,  but when I said I'm guessing she'd be ok,  I meant with boarding with the documents she has.  I've checked in to expedited passport for her but they couldn't guarantee they would be here in time.   So I was looking into seeing with just birth certificate, my back up plan,  I guess.

The OP didn't say where the cruise is going, but it is hard to imagine a HAL cruise that does not require a passport...maybe a roundtrip from the mainland to Hawaii and back?  All other cruises I can think of at least go to Canada, Mexico, or a Caribbean island where passports would be required.  It is a hassle, but you can get one on short notice for travel by going to a US Passport center in person; I believe the closest ones to Ohio would be Detroit and Buffalo.  Certainly you need to call first to make sure you have all the documentation required for your unique situation.

Yeah it would be easier with passport, but birth certificate is all that is needed.

Where is the ship going that does not require a passport?  Question:  Isn't there another government document that can be used in place of a passport?  I also question why the first marriage certificate is required.  The second certificate clearly shows both the former name and the new name.  The second marriage certificate was the only document I needed to confirm my second change of name and for a new passport.

It's a closed loop cruise. So no pass port required. Safer yes, but not required. Grand turk, San Juan and and st Thomas. The problem is maiden name is on bc, then she married 1st time, so there is the 1st name change, the. Married  2nd time, which now is her last name which is what is on her dl.  I'm guessing she'll be ok but just hate to take the chance which is why I was reaching out to you all.  Thanks

  11. Thanks in advance for any help. I'm taking my mama on her very 1 st cruise.  She has been married twice.  She has her birth certificate and her 2nd wedding certificate.  But there is one step missing in her name changes, she doesn't have her 1 st wedding certificate,  that was 61 years ago.   Will she be able to get on the ship with her current info or should we get a copy from the court house? Please no snarky answers.  We cruise in a month and she doesn't have a passport.  She did have years ago.
