  1. I haven't been on Norwegian in about 6 years. Leaving in 11 days with them. I'm using their app for the first time. Do they send me a bar code to scan at check in? I have filled in the online check in but didn't see a bar code. Is my picture what we use?

  2. I am booked on the Joy for next May2024 going to Bermuda. I have family members intersted in cruising with us. I went on the NCL web site to look at prices and they don't have the Joy going to Bermuda in May,June or July. Then I looked up all the places the Joy cruises on the NCL site and there is no where it cruises to in those months. Would anybody have a idea where I could find out information on the Joy for these months?

  3. I am not in the Haven. Have a suite with a butler, but doesn't allow use of the Haven or their resturant. I have been in a Haven before and enjoyed the amenities...However, with the difference in cost we thought we would try a suite with the butler.

  4. I booked a cruise on NCL for June 2024. I've been several cruises before but have never booked this far in advance and have always purchased insurance. My question is should I purchase the insurance this far ahead or wait maybe six months from now?

  5. As I undertand, this ship was out of New Zealand and visting Australia.

Here are the covid requirements to sail there as of Nov 2. So my understanding is few unvaccinated (if any) passengers.

Current Health Protocols for Cruises Visiting Australia, New Zealand & South Pacific Countries

    • Vaccinations
      • Guests must have received their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before the beginning of the cruise and provide acceptable proof at terminal check-in.
      • Boosters are highly recommended for those eligible at least seven days before cruising.
    • Testing
      • At terminal check-in guests must attest to a negative viral COVID-19 test (PCR or rapid antigen) taken before embarkation.

  6. Thermal spas (NCL) that I've been in are areas that have hot tubs, small pool, heated tile loungers, and regular lounges that face the ocean and you can stay in that one spot for the entire day if you wish. Perhaps the spa comparison was a stretch. Thank you for the answer.

  7. I plan on booking a Cabana for the week I'm on the cruise. I've done thermal spas on other cruise lines. I was wondering if it's similiar, you pick where you want to sit for the day or are they assigned to you? Also, do they sell out quickly? I would prefer one that faced the ocean.

  8. This is my first time on a Holland American Cruise. The ship is Statedam and was wondering if they have a Chef's Table night? I've been on other cruises that have had them. My husband & I always enjoyed them.

  9. My husband & I are booked in a sky suite for next Aug (hopefully) for a 12 day cruise. We have been several times in a Haven on NCL.

We would've stayed with NCL, however the cost was the same for seven days on NCL versus 12 for Celebrity. I'm wondering if any one can tell me how much of a difference between the sky suite & Haven suite?

  10. I was a little hasty in posting this. I just received my refund in my  credit card account.

    Thank you for the response.

Will take your advise on canceling reservation before I have to cancel another cruise again.

  11. I had to cancel my Carnival cruise for Dec. I did not book with Carnival, but a travel agent. I did however reserve & paid for dinner reservation on Carnival web site. My question is how do I receive a refund for those reservations? Do I call them about this situation?

My insurance says you have to notify the cruise line..I contacted NCL and they could only put him as a no show, I would have to contact my travel agent which I am waiting for a return call. Thank you all for your responses.

I notified my travel agent...They contacted NCL and cancelled my husband. She said if I did a no show the insurance would not pay...NCL is going to reimburse the taxes and fees. Now all I have to do is hope my husband has a speedy recovery & the insurance comes through.

Most people on CC , agree it's just better to do a no show! Whatever fees you have coming from the no show will be reimbursed.

its highly unlikely you will be charged single supplement, you've already paid for 2 people.
