Marc is awesome!  He was CD on our Enchantment cruise way back in 2009 🙂  He's currently on the Mariner and depending on whether he stays on there next year, I may book one on Mariner just to cruise with him again.

I've been following Marc on Facebook since I heard him mentioned positively so many times. I appreciate his passion for the job and I'm looking forward to meeting him in a few weeks!

    Day 6

Wonderland … the mushroom 🍄 does not come with the World.  I just wanted to have the mushroom but not the whole dessert so …

This is such a great idea! The mushroom dessert as a whole is nowhere near the caliber of the World but still fun. I may have to ask for a side mushroom next time I go to Wonderland!

Ok, so I'm sure this has been asked and answered, and I have scrolled and scrolled, but with Covid, things constantly changing, the unpredictable nature of Royal, the fact that we haven't bid on anything in 2 years and well.....285 pages....I gave up.

Question- are all the stateroom options in the Bid up available? What if they are not showing when doing a mock booking? Does this mean that they are in fact, already booked?

As always, thanks Royal Hive Mind!

For the Royal Up I won today, I only had the option up to balcony from interior.  This included regular ocean view, spacious ocean view, panoramic ocean view...but nothing higher up than balcony available to me.  The cruise before this I was in a balcony and had multiple types of suites offered. So it does depend on what you started with, as far as how far up they allow you to potentially go.  During my bid process most categories showed sold out for a time, but then a few rooms opened later.  With some (ever shrinking) limits still put on capacity and the reshuffling of Royal Up itself, I wouldn't say that 'sold out' categories 100% rule out Royal Ups into that category. YMMV.

    January  7, 2022

Cruise passengers (and all travelers) visiting Barbados as a port of call are required to be fully vaccinated. Under the updates, guests with proof of a negative result from an RT-PCR or rapid PCR test taken within 48 hours of arrival will be permitted to disembark, explore independently and engage in shore excursions and tours, said Dr. Kenneth George, Barbados’ chief medical officer.

Royal Caribbean healthy sail protocols doesn’t mention testing.

Weird. Definitely did not have any sort of testing onboard the Anthem January 9th sailing when we stopped there. Can confirm the redundant sanitizer @Sunshine3601 reported though. 😆

  5. I had an issue with redeeming it and customer service saw it as applied, but my balance due remained the same as it had been. They were very insistent my cert had been redeemed.  I had to spell out the math with exact numbers for the rep I spoke to for them to realize no matter what it said the cert was not actually subtracted from my balance due.  Hopefully you have no problems.

    NO..

We sailed Anthem for NYE, one of the Azipod's had a mechanical failure, which led to us getting to port 2 hours late. So ppl did not start getting off Ship until 845AM.

This has forever scarred me. LOL

I am freaking out about flying out at 12:15PM. LOL. For our Oasis trip in April.

We got on after you and while warming up in the bathroom during that ongodly freezing cold horrible line to board we ran into people stranded because they missed their bus or similiar.  Made me thankful we always book later flights.

  7. Is this for the yacht race? If so make sure she takes some Dramamine!

We did that excursion last month but my son is fully vaxed and we didn't have any other kids with us. We were walked to the ferry pick up location from the pier, and the ferry took us to the race boat. After the race they dumped us off for the post race 'party' which was a cup of rum punch or fruit punch near their small store and then everyone dispersed.  They let us know where we could wait for the water taxi back to the ship. I don't know how they would treat things with someone unvaxed along, but we walked along the beach, shopped, ate, and walked back on our own much later.
