This will give you an idea, as these pics are from Seaside with slightly different design.  For instance, there is only one buffet location on Seashore/Seascape.  I suspect the bars will have different names.  Seashore is returning today from her first cruise from the US this season.  Hours might have been different on European cruises.  So, until someone comes along who has been on Seascape ( and not in Yacht Club) and posts from their daily programs…

The buffet changes every day, at least at lunch.  I never went there for dinner.

Thanks so much for this it is awesome

  2. We have cruised many times before and looking to try MSC Seashore have some questions. What are the hours of the buffet (any late night hours) since they do not have any other food choices except dining room and specialty restaurants.

My wife saw somewhere that there are charges to get in some shows is this true?

Does the buffet change every day or is it the same?

How late are the bars open at night.

  3. I think too many of you say I need 6 drinks a day every day, when that is not true. You need to average 6 drinks a day. That means you need to have 6 drinks times how many days your cruise is for (ex. 7 day cruise you need to have 42 drinks for the week 6x7) It does not matter how many you have on any particular day just the total. so theoretically on a 7 day cruise you could only drink 3 days (sea days) and still make it worth while by getting to your 15 drinks on those days and that does not include any non alcoholic drinks.

Much to my dismay, Zoltan swapped ends of the bar with another Alchemist, Jakub, about 545. What?! How can you abandon me Zoltan??? Fine, fine, I’ll give Jakub a try. I asked him for a “sexy water” to help me rehydrate, along with a drink that was not too sweet, and refreshing. He asked me a few questions to see what I liked, then said he had an idea. Whatever he came up with (it’s blue) was good!
As we were drinking, the string players were playing a deck below us, and wow…they are great! They went from playing Despacito to All of Me to Stairway to Heaven and more. They’re amazing!

At 6:21 we decided we needed food to soak up some alcohol, and we decided that Italian was calling our names. I checked us in on the Hub app, it said a 20-30 minute wait. That was wayyyyy better then Chibang, which was a 50-70 minute wait! At 7:10 we got the notice our table was ready, so we climbed up the 1 floor to Cucina.
Saung was our server, and she was really sweet! I couldn’t decide between the caprese, which is my old favorite, or arancini for my starter, so I got both. The caprese disappointed me, it was not as delicious as I remember, but the arancini was great! I’m so glad I got it! For my main I got my old favorite, the chicken parm, with a side of spinach. That spinach y’all…just bring me a big old bowl of that and call me Popeye! It was garlicky and freaking amazing. The chicken parm was ok, not great….I remember it being thinner, and more tender, this one was thicker and a bit tough. I didn’t go hungry tho. I only managed to eat half of it!
Now for the funny part. I ordered the tirimusu (however you spell it) for dessert. It came out and I went to dig in…but it was frozen! What. The. Heck. I took my spoon to it and was stabbing it like a mad woman, trying to break it apart, as DH stared at me in horror. Then he busted out laughing and I paused, spoon mid-air. What are you laughing at, turdhole? Think this is funny? Then I saw out of the corner of my eye a bar server staring at me and trying not to

    laugh. Oh crap!

Luckily the server didn’t call security on the madwoman brutally stabbing her innocent dessert. He took my spoon and tested the dessert himself, then shook his head and took it to somebody wearing a top hat and asked if it was suppose to be that way. They whisked it away and he told me a new one was on the way, and when it came out, it was nice and soft. Yay!!

We were on this cruise also and Zoltan, Jakub, Cornelius and Evan in the Alchemy were fantastic. We spent almost every night drinking the beautiful concoctions they came up with. Jakub made a variation of the Deal Closer that was so good at one point there were 6 of us at the end of the bar drinking it and now we are trying to recreate at home.

  5. Here is the cost of chat right from carnival website:

Is the Carnival HUB app free?

The App is free to download and use on board. For a small additional fee ($5 USD for the voyage) the HUB App offers chat.

The $5 per day is for WIFI and social networks

  6. You keep mentioning that your daughter will be to old for the teen club, but it is not that big of a problem. My son was 19 on our last 2 cruises and he had a blast, he made lots of friends. He even would rather go on the cruise with us than go to spring break in Florida with his buddies from school.

My DW and I did a all inclusive a few years back and by day 3 were bored not enough going on.

  7. We just got back with my father who is 85 and a little like you describe yours. The walker we have he can also sit in and we can push him. This made it nice for those longer walks that he needed a break. We also just planned to take it a little slower at times to allow time for him to get places. The biggest advice I can give you is do not plan on being first to things, because that is where you get bigger crowds of people and can make it hard for him.

  8. We have taken many ship shore excursions and plenty on our own. Some of them we have booked before leaving and some we have just got off the ship and bartered with a taxi to take us where we wanted to go. The least expensive ones and some of the best have been the ones that we just got off the ship and got a taxi. You have to be comfortable do this type of thing.
