  1. You need to book a car service like Dial7 or Carmellimo. Do NOT take a NYC taxi because you are going from NY to NJ and NYC cab regulations do not apply (i.e. They can charge you at least double fare plus tolls and may not even know how to get to Cape Liberty).

Public transit and cabs are also an option. Post back if you are interested in that.

Carol, what would the approximate cost be for a car service and I am interested in the public transit option also.

  2. We used the Tri rail from MIA to FLL stop this past January. It was very easy to take from the Miami Airport and we got off at the Dania Beach FLL airport stop. Our hotel was the Homewood Suites right across the street from the Tri-rail stop. It was so easy and hassle free that we will be doing the exact same thing this June for the Oasis of the Seas cruise. Any questions, please ask me. :)

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:thank you cruise critic for the great info about sweet sixteen cabins. I chose this cabin from all the great comments! I thought I would feel more movement since this cabin is very forward, but I did not feel any more movement then usual! Thank you cruise critic!

  4. SHIP: Solstice

    CABIN #: 6225

    DECK #: 6

    CLASS: 2B

    AREA: Middle of Hump

    BED NEAR: closet

    QUIET?: yes

    BALCONY VIEW: great

    BALCONY SIZE: average

    WIND A PROBLEM?: no

    SOOT A PROBLEM?: no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: We were two couples traveling. The other couple was in 6227. These are connecting cabins. The outer doors close. We also had them open up the balcony between us. Great area right by stairs and elevators. I love hump rooms both on Celebrity and also on Royal Caribbean.

  5. We just used them for Mariner of the seas January 2nd sailing. It was right across the street! We had the late disembarkation due to fog and it was great just having to walk across the street and drive off. Others were waiting for their shuttles. They were also very friendly and even took us on their golf cart to the side street area so we didn't have to walk all the way on embarkation. Excellent!
