  1. DW and I were on the Legend in December and visited Xunantunich.

Pros - We had a great time and the site is very interesting. You can climb to the top of El Castillo, which the guides said was second highest building in Belize. There are some amazing fresco still intact. You also get to see more of the country outside of Belize City, which we enjoyed. People were very friendly, and the stop in San Ignacio for lunch is very nice.

Con - It is a long busride, and if you have a bad tour guide I can see where it would be very boring (We had a good guide, Marta, who was very enthuiastic about her country). And it eats up your whole time in Belize. You have be to on the first tender over, and then we were on the last tender back to the Legend.

DW and I would do it again because we enjoyed it so much the first time.

    ErinMarie, I hope this helps.

  2. Hi,

I've read that you can no longer purchase Big Black Dick's rum by the bottle, only a small sampler pack. Is that correct?

I had read that Big Black Dick's also had coconut rum.

We had hoped to buy some to bring back home in January.

    Does anyone know for sure?

    Hi Joby,

DW and I bought some BBD vanilla rum earlier this month on our stop Dec. 1 in GC on the Legend. It was at a t-shirt/souvenier store on the corner of Cardinal Ave. on the opposite side of the street from Kirk Freeport. The store was down a flight of stairs and the alcohol was in the back. The main rum sellers there were BBD and Blackbeards, and we got a free rum cake from purchasing some Blackbeards rum.

    Hope this helps

  3. I would love some information from anyone who has stayed in or around room 8201 on the Legend. I'm cruising with my sister, and she packs a LOT. Also, how was the noise factor?

    Thanks!

DW and I stayed in room 8277, on the back end of the Legend, this last week. There were 3 closets and plenty of drawer space for us, so we didn't have a problem with that.

We were under the aft pool deck and didn't have any problem with noise, but we did have a lounge chair blow off the pool deck and land on our balcony on the last day. That was a rare treat.
