Ready to book for Jan.2015, couple of ???
Since there is no Diamond club, what drinks can you get with the loaded coupons on your card? Hubby likes beer or Vodka/tonic, I am good with wine. Do they still have the Diamond event?
Does anyone know when the next dry dock is scheduled?
It's been a over a year since we sailed on Explorer, but we remember a great cruise.
Thanks for the replies.

I wonder why they just didn't do a repo and sail right to Cape Liberty. They would have made some extra $$. Oh well. Thanks for the quick replies.

I've checked several sites, but can't see where the ship is those few days. I know it is repositioning to Cape Liberty, but nothing for those days is showing. If there is an extended repositioning cruise, would love to jump on it. Any help?

Also on this cruise and had no problems with tenders. Walked down to deck 1 and was told no ticket was needed and walked right on, this was about 9:30. Also, we saw at least two tenders running at that time. No wait on the way back also.

We were on this cruise, actually across the hall in a Superior Interior (J), and did not have any noise problem. One afternoon we heard a few noises but other than that we were pleasantly surprised after hearing all the issues posted here. Maybe because we were in the middle of the ship that helped.
We had a very enjoyable cruise, thought the staff was one of the best, the food was very enjoyable. Went to Chops and Giovanni's, both excellent. Spent the other three nights at the Windjammer and always found something very yummy to eat. Never did we have a hard time finding a table for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Alex and his crew couldn't do enough to make everyone happy.
The shows were great. Luis Dalton and Spectrum were fantastic. Production shows were great also.
Will definitely be booking more cruises on the Vision. It's a great ship with a great crew.

I am aware of the continental breakfast in the Diamond Lounge, I was wondering about the special area in MDR. Will check it out when I board. Thanks

Leaving on the Vision on Sat., does anyone know if they have the Diamond breakfast area in the MDR?
Thanks

@ceemonster
Do you know how long Desmond will be onboard? Always made our evening special

We stay at the four points in Cocoa Beach for several weeks every winter. Every day that a ship is in port, there are shuttles that run from the port to the beach and also to the four points that is next door to Ron Jon's Surf shop. There are quite a few stores within walking distance, the beach is a block away, and the shuttles are frequent. There is also a shuttle to "The Cove" which has several restaurants, an open air market and also a visitors center that is pretty neat.
-
You are so welcome. Just noticed you are from ohio! what part? We plan on watching the explorer sail away this Tuesday when it leaves Port Canaveral .
-
Sheraton Four Points is a great hotel and provides shuttles to the port. The hotel staff is great as is the shuttle, very organized, and plenty of shuttles.
-
We are currently staying in cocoa beach at the four points next to Ron Jon's, and there are shuttle buses run from the port to our hotel frequently throughout the day whenever a ship is in port for the day. There are signs on the buses that read "free beach and surf shop shuttle", and I believe there is also a free shuttle to "the cove" where there are several seafood places right by the pier. We have eaten @ Rusty's and Fishlips, both really good. The beach is one block from where the free shuttles drop you off at the Four Points and there is a rental place that rents chairs, umbrellas, etc. the Grandeur was just here on Sunday so there might be some info you can get on the ship.

Last several cruises we have noticed that taking your last cocktail with you was encouraged. Does anyone know if this is the case on the Liberty? Do not want to start an uproar, just curious. Thanks
-
We were just on the Grandeur 11/26-12/6. Chardonnay, Merlot, Cab Sav and champagne. Did see a menu and correct me if I'm wrong, but there was one vodka, gin, whiskey and maybe a bourbon. Hot and cold appetizers. Lounge was open in evening from 4:30 to 8:00.
Didn't have breakfast there but they had continental type breakfast and a nice coffee machine that didn't want to work most of the time. All of the above were complimentary.

Thanks for the replies. Guess we will check into the lunch when we get onboard.

We are booked for a B2B in a couple weeks. Haven't done one in awhile, had some questions. Is there a lunch in the MDR for B2B'rs? Some ships have a meeting the
last night to go over details, wondered if that would happen. How quickly were you
able to return to ship after customs? We have to switch rooms, and we usually tell
the new Room Steward we will be on the ship, and they clean the room first so we
can move our things early. Thanks

Ice shows are great, promenade shows are something to watch, people watching on the promenade

Walmart has a few to choose from. I use one with an indiglo button, that way in the dark
you can quickly find the time.
-
Thanks for the quick replies. Looks like we will be able to enjoy on the Majesty and the Enchantment. Maybe the Liberty will have the Chops set up for the Windjammer. Fingers crossed.
-
If I was traveling with children, I would choose the Liberty, great pool area for kids, not so much for adults. When it is just DH and myself, I would choose Explorer. Nice sized ship, nice promenade area, nice pool area without too much kiddie things.
-
We have a few short cruises next month, and do enjoy the Diamond area in the MDR. Does anyone know if the Liberty, Majesty and Enchantment offer this? We were on the Freedom in Feb., and I know they had seating in Chops at the Windjammer. Thanks for the info

Just off Grandeur, our CD was Jeffrey Arpin. Just got on 11/26

Just off the Grandeur, and if you use any type of C&A coupon or discount, you can not use any of the MLife benefits. The casino host sends an email to RCCL, and they verify if you are eligible to receive the benefits. We have one cruise next month and no coupon was used, and was told that I can use the benefits on that cruise.
