  1. Ready to book for Jan.2015, couple of ???

Since there is no Diamond club, what drinks can you get with the loaded coupons on your card? Hubby likes beer or Vodka/tonic, I am good with wine. Do they still have the Diamond event?

Does anyone know when the next dry dock is scheduled?

It's been a over a year since we sailed on Explorer, but we remember a great cruise.

    Thanks for the replies.

  2. We were on this cruise, actually across the hall in a Superior Interior (J), and did not have any noise problem. One afternoon we heard a few noises but other than that we were pleasantly surprised after hearing all the issues posted here. Maybe because we were in the middle of the ship that helped.

We had a very enjoyable cruise, thought the staff was one of the best, the food was very enjoyable. Went to Chops and Giovanni's, both excellent. Spent the other three nights at the Windjammer and always found something very yummy to eat. Never did we have a hard time finding a table for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Alex and his crew couldn't do enough to make everyone happy.

The shows were great. Luis Dalton and Spectrum were fantastic. Production shows were great also.

Will definitely be booking more cruises on the Vision. It's a great ship with a great crew.

  3. We stay at the four points in Cocoa Beach for several weeks every winter. Every day that a ship is in port, there are shuttles that run from the port to the beach and also to the four points that is next door to Ron Jon's Surf shop. There are quite a few stores within walking distance, the beach is a block away, and the shuttles are frequent. There is also a shuttle to "The Cove" which has several restaurants, an open air market and also a visitors center that is pretty neat.

  4. We are currently staying in cocoa beach at the four points next to Ron Jon's, and there are shuttle buses run from the port to our hotel frequently throughout the day whenever a ship is in port for the day. There are signs on the buses that read "free beach and surf shop shuttle", and I believe there is also a free shuttle to "the cove" where there are several seafood places right by the pier. We have eaten @ Rusty's and Fishlips, both really good. The beach is one block from where the free shuttles drop you off at the Four Points and there is a rental place that rents chairs, umbrellas, etc. the Grandeur was just here on Sunday so there might be some info you can get on the ship.

  5. We were just on the Grandeur 11/26-12/6. Chardonnay, Merlot, Cab Sav and champagne. Did see a menu and correct me if I'm wrong, but there was one vodka, gin, whiskey and maybe a bourbon. Hot and cold appetizers. Lounge was open in evening from 4:30 to 8:00.

Didn't have breakfast there but they had continental type breakfast and a nice coffee machine that didn't want to work most of the time. All of the above were complimentary.

  6. We are booked for a B2B in a couple weeks. Haven't done one in awhile, had some questions. Is there a lunch in the MDR for B2B'rs? Some ships have a meeting the

last night to go over details, wondered if that would happen. How quickly were you

able to return to ship after customs? We have to switch rooms, and we usually tell

the new Room Steward we will be on the ship, and they clean the room first so we

can move our things early. Thanks
