“Held accountable”? Very few corporations honor typos or misprints, nor are legally required to do so.

It is 1 thing if it is a occasional mistake, but RCL is known for consistently having pricing discrepancies.  Depending on the state there are laws regarding price errors and customers can report these to Consumer protection agencies.  I am sure if they get enough complaints something will start to happen.

Don't get your hopes up, it clearly says 50% off is the kids offer and they will probably say it is just a glitch on the front page but the price at checkout is correct

RCL consistently has price issues due to poor IT implementation of changes/promos.  They need to start being held accountable so maybe in the future they will be some time and effort into making sure these things do not happen again.  I think everyone should start reporting these issues.

Finally got a copy of my bill from RCL.  Since both of my spa treatments were gifts, I didn't have a copy of the payment but am working on getting it as it appears I am being overcharged approximately $95.  Since I can no longer see the Spa menu, maybe someone with a current reservation can look at the Spa choices and see if there is an upcharge for specific days and/or times.  I do know another cruise line will advertise a price and then when you select a time that is where you see the upcharge.  Since I did not pay for nor select time, I can't confirm this to be true on RCL.  Does anyone know?

Yes RCL does have specials depending on date and time but they can vary. It also depends on the service.

@zitsky, Apex,  Prime Aqua Class cabins on Deck 9 and 10 seem to be a good location to me. Cabins above and below ,next to and in some cases even across from other cabins.

Am I missing something about them? Looking at booking Apex to Norway potentially( have booked Prima but reviews are so extreme that we’re now ambivalent about NCL). Thanks.

I think you are fine, those cabins are 2 decks below the pool.  I have seen so many posts from people who love Aqua class and never heard issues with noise from the pool.

I think it’s rude for you to say that.  I asked for basic information from someone responding to a comment.  I may not have said please but I know I said thank you.

I have already responded to you, look at my post in which I already said on Ascent all Aqua are on decks 9-10 3 decks below the pool.  Look at the deck plan for cabin numbers.

Aqua cabins are in the worst part of the ship.  Under the pool for example.  They could choose to make it several decks below but they don’t.  Blu restaurant and Spa are the only perks.

On Ascent the Aqua Class cabins are on decks 9-11 and the pool is on 14.  They are not on the worst part of the ship.

This is not always the case.  On our last cruise on Millennium, I was informed by the maitre'd in Luminae that it was not possible to order off the Blu menu.   He told me that if there was something on the Blu menu I wanted and gave them advance notice, that he would have the chef prepare it for me.

That is exactly what we were told.  I wish they would just let you order off the Blu menu without having to notify in advance.

  8. I did the Japan cruise on Millie in October.  We also were in retreat and honesty we were not impressed with Luminae.  I think some of it was that is was not too long after they started changing the menus.  One night even our waiter commented that he didn't think there was anything on the menu that sounded good.  We also did Tuscan twice and just didn't think it was as good as in the past.  I did Blu 1 night and that was fabulous.  Honestly the dinners didn't bother us because we made sure to do a lot of eating when we were in port and this cruise was booked for the itinerary not the ship or food.  The kobe beef in Japan is to die for.

I am one of those who has tried to download app and got message that Celebrity does not support the android tablet.   Still waiting for Celebrity to address that issue.    How do I do the pre boarding health check ?    I assume the safety review can be viewed in cabin on arrival.

How has anyone else dealt with this ?

    Maybe look at this thread.

I always buy alcohol on islands and happily hand it over to them when I board.  Maybe it is confiscated, but to me that sounds like I’m trying to sneak it onboard when that’s not the case.  I really would just like it to be delivered to me on my last night just like any other booze I purchase n an island.  That’s all I’m asking, will it be delivered to my stateroom or will I never see it again?

As I posted above they return it to you at the end of the cruise.  You should be able to just tell them when you are boarding.

Recenlty had a spa treatment on Allure and was charged a "service charge" of $31.80 for my treatment. This is an additonal charge above the cost of the treatment and I was told "it is not the gratuity" but a service charge by the Spa vendor.  Can anyone tell me what this means? The treatment was nice, overpriced (but I expected that) but I do hate the "upsell" they are required to do as the person providing the service does get a commission.

That is supposed to be the gratuity.

That’s what I am trying to find out.  I know if I buy a bottle in the middle of the cruise they take and return it to me on the last night.  Will the same thing happen if it’s the start of the cruise?  I’m not trying to sneak booze on, I am hoping to buy some while in Puerto Rico prior to the cruise to take home.  I will not have enough time after the cruise to make purchases.

I think the first answer is correct & they’re not including speciality restaurants

The list of what’s included in a signature suite is now different to Royal & Reflection suites and wasn’t until fairly recently

Def don’t get 2 x spirits, which doesn’t matter & not stocking of mini bar means I’ll grab some drinks from somewhere else

Free speciality dining would have meant probably five different evening restaurants in eight nights for us, so that’s a massive difference

Might get a surprise on 3rd Feb, but either way I can’t complain given the quality of the suite I got

This is what it says on the Celebrity website for the Signature Suite:image.png.15e824521b6c862d324c87b8b29f90b1.png
