  1. Hi Marc. It's always a good idea when you're talking to CR to just ask if there are any offers you qualify for and they will look it up. I had a comp inside stateroom and never got any emails about it.. so you never know.

My "problem" is I have too many cruises booked and many of the emailed offers are for cruises within the next few months and I can never take advantage of them.

One of these days, once we make Pinnacle, we're going to go back on Celebrity. Supposedly they are set up like CR USED to be, with cash rebates, etc.

Before when we had old program I was able to transfer cash rebate from RC to Celebrity and also my vip status....Are you talking about this? then why do you need to be Pinnacle? Or only Pinnacle eligable to this transfer?

  2. Hi Linda - where are you for New Year's eve? We'll be around the corner from you (haha) on the Anthem - cruise leaves Dec. 30. Alla - what about you and Boris?

Next week we head to Rome for the Jewel Med Greek Isle and Italy sailing - very port intensive. Will need a vacation after that cruise...

We are in Nov B2B on Harmony Nov 11/Nov 18

  3. How are the 'points' calculated? I'm going on my first cruise later this year and plan on playing roulette.

For table: How many hours you play (min to qualify supposed to be 3h per day) + Average bet (min $25 per bet to be qualify)+ how much you are putting in the game .... They monitoring your play very well ....they check you out even if you go to the bathroom for 5 mins :)

  4. Here are some tidbits I learned from Adela onboard Freedom of the Seas this week.

    • Cruise certificates:
      • 400 points - $100 off
      • 800 points - $200 off
      • 1,200 points - $300 off
      • 1,600 points - $400 off
      • 2,000 points - $500 off
      • 2,400 points - Free cruise (from a selected list) in inside cabin or $500 off
      • 3,600 points - Free cruise (from a selected list) in oceanview cabin or $750 off
      • 4,800 points - Free cruise (from a selected list) in balcony cabin or $1,000 off

[*]The free cruise certificates now contain selected sailings for cruises up to 7 months in advance! My certificate has a couple sailings listed that sail at the end of October 2017.

      [*]Qualifying status:

      • Permanent VIP status is completely gone. Status must be re-earned every cruise.
        • If you qualified for status on your last cruise, you must earn 1,000 points in order to qualify for status on your next cruise.
        • If you didn't qualify for status on your last cruise, you must earn 1,500 points in order to get status on the current and next cruise.

[*]When booking a cruise with a free cruise certificate (or related dollars-off), not only does the Club Royale member get a sticker, but so does the other person(s?) in the cabin.

[*]Drink coupons are pretty much gone except for exceptional circumstances. Most free drinks are done by a sticker on the SeaPass.

[*]Points earned during the cruise are automatically redeemed for onboard credit on the last day at a rate of $20 per 1,000 points, with 1,000 points earned at a minimum. They did redeem to the closest whole dollar, rounded down, e.g., 1,870 points would get you $37.

Adela did send a bottle of wine to my cabin. It was a red wine (Estancia - Pinot Noir). I thanked her for the wine and mentioned that we'd find someone to share it with. She asked if I liked red wine, and I let her know that I drink white wine. She said that they'd be glad to exchange the bottle at the casino bar for a white wine, and in addition, she'd send a bottle of white whine to the cabin. A couple of days later, another bottle of the same red wine showed up in the cabin.

I did get a certificate for a free balcony cabin. I should be able to use this certificate pretty much as specified in its terms and conditions for a change. The certificate must be used (cruise booked) within 30 days and the sailing must be within one year. The certificate is dated March 11, 2017. We're sailing on Oasis of the Seas on March 11, 2018! Woohoo!

Thank you for all info above :) We will be on Brilliance in 49 days :) and never know that my DH also can get sticker ... Are you sure 100% on it?

  5. OK, how about this offer I received in the mail?

The front of the postcard said, enjoy a complimentary stateroom on the Oasis.

The back of the postcard said the very same thing.

When I opened up the card (you know how they stick together) it then said: $250 OFF your casino rate! WHAT?

I called Club Royal and inquired, mind you I was ready to book one of the 2 sailings to chose from (complimentary sure, only would have to pay taxs & fees).

Well, the casino agent did not believe me about the comped cabin, I even gave her the code. She then asked me to send a picture of the offer to her email. OK, I get out my ipad, take the pic, front & back. She gets it and confirms to me that it should be comped. OK she said hold on while I check this out.

She comes back on the phone and then said, sorry its only for the $250 off.

This was difenitly a bait & switch and I told her so! A comp is a comp, not $$$$ off the casino rate.

    And I said no thanks!

Anyone ever run into anything like this before?

I was really mad over this!

    Carol:cool:

I also got this offer BUT I have same in the front of the postcard enjoy a complimentary balcony stateroom and same in the back of the postcard s and exacly same whe I opened up the card --- everywhere same

so sad that I cannot go ...several cruises already booked

  6. Just off Brilliance, had a good time. Shirley is doing great, I really don't understand the customers who think the hosts can change the rules that have been given by headquarters and then try harassing them to change them. Saw it happen a couple of times. New change to the diamond plus rules, you no longer get the 25 percent off for tournaments. Still giving out the free cruise certs from the last quarter. We had hoped they added something new, that last quarters ship listing sucked.

Just wondering until what month/day Shirley will stay on Brilliance.... My cruise on May1st :)

  7. I was told the 2nd stateroom at casino rates is now ONLY given if your 1st stateroom is comped! Otherwise they are not allowing it

Correct ... My cabin --- comp and 1 for kids casino rate

But very interesting ...for exp I booke cabin in casino rate for kids on Harmony Nov 2017 and yes, like always casino rate is great.... ($2,220 incl taxes/port fee central park balcony + pack of soda + lunch Giovanni's Table)

Then I desided to call random TA and different between regular price and TA rate is $2,550 incl taxes/port fees ---- $200 less then regular price + they will pay gratitutes ($170 for this sailing )+ 150 OBC + specialty dining for 2 + spa for 1 (central park balcony)

    ...........

  8. Kumbu was the casino host. The Ultra hosts were Carlos, Victor, Zee and Diana. I was not invited to any small group dinners but Kumbu arranged for dinner and wine for me and hubby in the steakhouse and the Italian restaurant. Everything was well organized and fun. Carlos is very funny and they did something promotions. My fav was Matilda the Cash Cow.

What is this game about Matilda the Cash Cow?

  9. All of the Ultra invited players (not their guests) did receive a gift. In our cabin was a welcome bag, which included two lanyards and "Ultra" cards, good for free drinks in the casino. On the back of the Ultra card was my designated time. They divided us into groups of about 50 and held a drawing every day. Mine was Thursday night at 10:30. The prizes were IPad mini, IPad Air, IPhone 7, Samsung Galaxy cell phone, Bose noise cancelling headphones, Ultra Cash ranging from $300 to $1000, Apple watch, Carnival Tagheuer watch, MacBook Pro, and a 65 inch Samsung curved TV. For each drawing, there were two MacBook Pros, one watch and one TV. I won the big TV, which should be delivered to my house in 4 to 6 weeks. The most frequently awarded gifts were the IPad Minis and Ultra Cash.

Who were hosts? Did they do specialty dinner with small groups? Anything else?

  10. ans as always got certificate free balcony or 1K to apply to any cruise.... Casino host says that my play is much more then this offer and I need to call CR to talk w them. (just look back in old program I always got cash rebate cap 5K and always free at least Jr S).

I spoke w CR yesterday and explained that I booked fully until mid 2018 and this certif no use for me at all same as 1K ..they said THAT the only they can give me! Crazy! I ask what about some free play money as promo chips or upgrade to higher cabin categ --- answer is no.

Basically no use of my loss at all.

But casino host was great --- unlim drinks/ moet champagne in my cabin/ strawberries/ facial/massage / Wonderland / Isumi / Photo/ wipe out my bill -- I got them all, bec of my high play.

    Hopefully something will change :(

  11. Just back from Explorer last week. When I received my bill at the end of the cruise, a few hundred dollars had been deducted because of my casino play. Is that something new? I don't recall ever receiving a deduction before. I also received a certificate for a free balcony room and some cash back in the casino on the last night.

No its no new.... they wipe out you bill and how much is depends of your play

  12. I went to see Christina, the casino host on Anthem, and received a $500 certificate towards a future cruise within the next year. The cruise needs to be booked with CR within the next 4 weeks or the certificate is null and void. She confirmed that 2400 points is for an interior room, but we would have had to cruise by January 2017, which we weren't able to do.

What you can tell about Cristina?

Also did she offer you on board like....would you like to to the Italian restaurant? or Would you like to go to the spa?

Did she stopped by while you playing and cheer?

  13. Phase 1 is when they discontinued the rebates. In Phase 3, members will be assigned their tier levels. Current members from the old program will be grandfathered into the new tier levels, when that becomes available and they will continue to receive invites to CR events where as new members have to qualify for the events, ex: Slot and Poker tournaments, BBQ beach bash, etc.

I have spoken to CR a lot over the years, was even on the phone yesterday with them and never once did smoking ever come up in ALL my conversations with CR over the years. I am very surprised that smoking came up by the CR associate, or maybe you brought up the subject, which I believe happened. I'm all out of popcorn from reading your other threads about smoking. You do know Celebrity has no smoking in their casinos.

I guess you didn't realize that drinking, smoking and gambling all go together.

Best of luck to you in the casino!

    Hi Linda.....

Yes, I am not smoking at all BUT when gambling and drinking in the casino its part of the fun to have sigarette :)

Also RCCL have non smoking part in casino and if someone want it just go there and have fun

  14. I know exactly what you mean where they all know your name. Looking forward to seeing some of the same dealers as the casino has a great crew working there. I believe one of the slot attendants we had last year came back to Anthem, his name is Macguire.

Kim and I play the same machine  so hopefully she won't be on my sailing next week. She had some amazing and unbelievable wins on that machine last year and saw practical all of them while I was there.

Received the BBQ bash invite, we'll be Anthem, so we'll have to pass this time.

Hi girls :) Are we talking about Kim who wom 20K and then 60K? Do you remember what slot she played? You know I am table player but if game will not go maybe I will switch to slot ;-) for a little bit..

Counting down until will be on Anthem 62 days 23 h 13 mins

  15. Spoke with CR representative....He said they just rolled first part of the program

    Basically:

    a) will be no VIP like we have all these years and no our VIP number

    b) everyone how is playing in the casino will be consider as a vip casino player and everyone who will play will be track

    c) depending of your play you will get certificate with from $50 off future cruise up to comp Balcony cabin

Then second part that they will not know when will be roll out --- Tiers levels

Also RC said that (he talk about me) still get free drinks and 5% waved fee and all other perks like free massagess/ wine/ steak house and so on.....BUT he didn't said anything about substracting from future benefits ...

Also I cannot understand why he said UP to free Balcony if I am getting comp JS already ...

  16. we will find match :)
