Can they be used to disembark and embark at ports? and are they good form ship to ship, like can I buy one and use it on my next cruise?

Wear what you want, it's your vacation!  Those who complain about what others wear to dinner and have their vacation ruined by my shorts will just find something else to complain about. If they cannot find something they will invent something, it is just what they do! Wear your shorts, be comfortable, enjoy YOUR trip YOUR way! Dressed up or not!

Have had Boardwalk balconies on Allure twice and on Wonder, if we are on an Oasis class ship we will get a Boardwalk balcony every time. Absolutely love them! You are still outside on your balcony, and you can pay a little less, (I have seen them run the same price as ocean view). It fun to watch the action down below, especially at night. 

I would maybe just take a break, rather than leave cruising entirely. I honestly think the cruise industry is suffering a bit still, just getting over Covid and still trying to catch up with hiring, and possible supply issues. You might feel different in a year or two, and perhaps things will be a bit different. Now that being said our last cruise in January, I can vouch for a few of your complaints, room and ship were definitely not as clean as the past. We walked into a bathroom with crap all over the floor, walls and toilet, we told some crew members who looked at us like they did not care. In our cabin we found empty water bottles in the drawers, as well as dust on desk and dirt on floor. We are on Harmony in May hopefully there will be an improvement.

We have to have our test no more than two days out, so if I get my test on Wednesday morning and we check in to the ship on Friday afternoon, is that going to be to much of a time lapse?  Don't mean to jump this thread but the title fits.

Not so much a cruise question, but does anyone know if there is a car rental company at port everglades? Or a shuttle? If so what company? Our plane does not leave until 8pm so we though might be nice to check out Miami and Fort Lauderdale on our own after return.

Also, I've had no issues going to the bar with both of our cards and ordering two drinks without her coming with me. Not sure if that's changed in the last two years. 

Done this as well, usually works as bartenders get to know you, however if new bartender or boss around they may not allow.

No never have been, just remember the ship will not wait for you if late unless you take ship sponsored excursion. 

For those who have recently cruised are the art auctions happening.  My wife and I enjoy them. 
 

Not at all interested in your opinion of them so please just answer the question if you know.  If you don’t know or just have something stupid to say you are not needed here.

Booked for Wonder of the seas March 18th.  With the new variant and blah blah blah.  What are everyone’s thoughts?? Will it go? Will they stop crushing again?  I won’t cancel if this ship goes we go. But am I was it my time…

Does anyone know when or if the art auctions will return.  Have they already?

You are 100% correct, however I will hold onto hope until they cancel,  I need vacation!!

Since we are all speculating on when the next round of cancellations will occur, I would like to offer a new idea. Maybe they will go! I am booked on the Symphony for June 20th , I am holding onto the hope that maybe, just maybe they will sail, and that is why no announcements have been made.   Nothing wrong with hope....

I have an idea that I mentioned on another thread. For the most part all ships have a sister ship, one that is almost identical. So why not begin with one ship coming in disembarking and cleaning, disinfection and having a week to do it, while the sister ship goes out then they switch. This could take care of the embarkation issues as the ship will be ready, completely on the day of sailing. This could also help the crew to rest, to prepare the ship and be ready. It will at least get some cruising back, even only half initially. Just an idea, not sustainable for ever but maybe for the start up.  

Sorry to disagree, but this will sail, in my opinion they will resume on June 11th. They have to survive as a company and eventually make money. I think the pre-sail checks will be stringent and they will add something to the ticket contract about covid and suing specifically etc. etc. But I think they will sail, Royal Caribbean like most companies will get back to work soon. Mouths to feed, and bills to pay.

So we would have to put deposit again? Would that deposit be refundable after FCC applied?

While I am sure it is here somewhere, I cannot find it. We want to book a future cruise using our FCC which we have not received yet (supposed to be on Symphony right now) Does anyone know if we can call and have it applied before we actually receive the email? Since it is obvious we are going to use it, as our April 18th sailing is not happening, unless they left without us yesterday!
