We have a few food allergies so I bring snacks, almond milk and whatever could be needed. Never had a problem as it was all sealed in original packages, we also took some off in our backpacks with no issues.

Thanks everyone here is the next question should I tip the butler when he provides this service like $10 or $ 20. If the butler provides a service like that do you tip right away, when you have kids this will remove so many possible issues for us and really make the vacation so much more lovely I would want them to understand how much I appreciate them. Or do I just save it all till the end?
Thanks for all the replies our first suite may really ruin us for anything else.
Take care - Thea:)

Thanks so much for your quick reply. :):):)

If you request a meal from a speciality restaurant via your butler in your suite will that be covered by the UDP program?
With two little ones and the specialties getting more use, I thought it might be a better choice to dine in the suite.

Thanks so much I think we are going to have to change up to a balcony there just is no wiggle room and no couch will be difficult to deal with we really spend enough time in the cabin to make it worth the change.
Thanks again you all are great. 🌝

We booked 8th floor Oceanview on the Jade instead of our balcony. However I have searched and be unable to find any pictures if someone could share I would be grateful. Sort of nervous we really love fresh air but with two little (monkeys)ones felt a bit safer without the balcony. Thanks in advance.

I have some crazy anxieties as well, my best coping is to learn as much as possible about the ship. Before my first cruise I watched and read about all the possible issues and made a game plan. If this happened I would do this sort of thing. I learned the layout of the boat, where the lifeboats were where lifejackers were that sort of thing. I will admit that once I had kids I carry a small emergency kit instead of a purse just in case. I figure knowledge is power so the best I could do was learn.
as for seasickness Dramamine and seabands are good options with ginger sweets.

We are on the jewel in a little over a week I spoke with the access coordinator and found out they have almond milk on the Jewel. Has anyone had it? Any idea what brand? I know that sometimes they use soy lecithian as a preservative which would also cause a problem for my child which is the only reason I have to ask. This just a shot in the dark, and an attempt not to have to pack milk. If anyone knows thank you in advance.

Anyone ever use this hotel? They offer free parking, seemed like good reviews on all the sites. Any advice?
Thanks - Thea:)

We are with you on the Jewel and I always take the "oh my god my cruise was ruined by rough toilet paper" reviews as a learning experience. I was once told everyone is a a teacher some teach by being what you should strive to be and some teach by striving what not to be. I want to be happy as mitsu*** is booking her first balcony and not someone loosing it if my room steward does not make up the room 17 times a day. So you just gotta be happy those people who are moaning took a different cruise I guess and hope they find the perfect vacation in the future. I just keep reading and glean what information I can from everywhere.
We got 18 days:D to go, so not much to be complaining about. Take care - Thea:)

Has anyone done this on the Triumph, do they offer it on that ship? Thanks for your replies. :)

I found my way back, I have been reading the volumes of information trying to make certain I have made the right choice and planning our March 1st cruise. We went with Spa 1115, other then the possibility of being assaulted from above I haven't found anything to make me worry. I am actually one of those people who will be spending time in my cabin, I could lay in and read for the five day cruise if my husband would allow it. However we got our cabin and now we are trying to figure out what to do in cozumel and progeso. Thanks for your help everyone:) - Thea
Luckily we are driving down and spare the airfare.

My husband and I are about to reserve our first cruise for March 2010. Please help me choose a room, I would like a balcony and we were considering the spa level. So those with some experience please offer up your favorite option. We are hoping to book this weekend. Thanks for all your help here and throughout the forum.

I always pack Thank you cards as well, figuring they probably dump it once they get the money but figure if I can personalize it a little so they know what really was great if nothing else. I know families with children often have a bad reputation for tipping poorly so I don't want them to think we are going to ask for the moon and stiff them at the end.
