Copenhagen to Copenhagen on Voyager, July 6- 20 days.
-
While not a fan of included excursions, the excursions in Norway were some of the best we have ever done!
It is always interesting to read comments from people that have sailed Regent and switched to other lines (and those that switched to Regent). One must consider, however, that it is the people that are at least somewhat dissatisfied with Regent that switch (obviously) -- the thousands of Regent customers that are happy with Regent don't necessary post about it.
TC, which Norway tours were best? I'll be there on Voyager this July in Russia, Sweden, Copenhagen etc.
Thank You!

Last nov-dec on Voyager from Dubai to Cape Town best excursions on that itinerary was snorkeling in Seychelles and watching lemurs in Madagascar.
I played DVD for that cruise but DVD was almost 100 pc the entertainment, little on the Hippos and Crocs and ZERO on Lemurs on Madagascar! Don't waste $40 for DVD - check it out prior to buying it! Mine was "free" for booking another cruise.
BUYER BEWARE!!!!

WE booked very late one Dec. and had our excursions waitlisted and cleared wait list when we had tickets in our cabin when we boarded. People cancel and Regent adds buses etc!
GOOD LUCK and Bon Voyage!

Don't forget, they recently announced included Business Class fares for every booking category for about 10 different 2015 cruises mainly to the Baltic.
And, TedC, for all of the July Voyager cruises, the Business Upgrade for all categories is $0 and not $499. Seems they added the note at the top of the page "This voyage features FREE Business Class Air* in all suite categories." but, where the various fares are listed, the little airplane was not added to the below Penthouse categories.
Very confusing but, these are some of the cruises announced with $0 Business Class Upgrades and not the $499 TedC mentioned.
Regent's Double TALK takes and giveth back! MY $499 BC each way is OK but the free biz is gone and the fare is higher! You can't WIN! Regent's Double Talk is like the old carnival barkers but with less ethics!

You can always have lunch and breakfast at Compass Rose. Bon Appetite!

Copenhagen RT in July on Voyager is wide open and BC upgrade is $499 pp each way.

IF you like Mariner you will LOVE Voyager. Voyager standard suites are 50 sq. feet larger than Mariner's and also is Navigator's. That extra space is great - closet, bathroom and even the safes are larger!

I don't like "stuffy" - I like casual: neat and clean.

We were at that a few years ago? Food wasn't great but OK as I recall.
Desert in the desert!

ONLY on my sailboat "Veritas" on Lake Ontario - all went well!
OUR first Regent sailing we were upgraded to D - same size as booked suite - BIG DEAL!!!!!
I should've added the food could've been better and the crew was rather snarly!

Last year we had a special jazz concert in Voyager theater. Loved it!

Many of us check out our air plans and deviate for $175 pp to get flights we want! Work with your TA.
ALSO, if any one thinks a ship at sea isn't going to have movement and sounds they are dreaming!
Often weather interferes with tender ports that can't be used safely!.

All coffe tastes bad to me as I don't like coffee.
I've never had coffee- I don't like to do what everyone else does. (I saw how the coffee drinkers turned out!)

THank you for the comparison - Well done!

People are subjective - not food!

Robroy - thanks for sharing your experience. Wish we could go from Vancouver to Miami as easily as you go from Toronto:-) Our experience with Regent Air has been good for the most part. We have cancelled cruises that begin or end in South America because it is so difficult to get decent flights (even if you book on your own). Regent has us going from Vancouver to Seattle to Atlanta to Rio on American. While this sounds awful, it isn't as bad as some connections. They have us going back on BA with a stop in Heathrow (where there will be another opportunity to lose our luggage:-). I understand why some people don't like the business class seat configuration on BA but we find the seats better than the angled seats on Lufthansa and some other airlines. The plane we will fly into Rio (9 hour flight) advertises their new flatbed seats so it should be interesting.
I recently flew from IAD to Dubai on UNITED AND IT WAS VERY COMFORTABLE. Returned on Emirates - not at all comfortable but food was good.

Unfortunately there are a LOT of STUPID People, alas!

In the past they had a tailor - do they still have one for pax?
-
We were glad to serve, unlike many who weaseled out of service through deferments! That was their choice.
"The land of the Brave?"

I suggested the ship's shops carry T-shirts for children - there are many grandparents on board who want to bring something for the kids at home.
