Super thank you! Great information. So the non alcoholic ones for the kids came with the fantastica correct? You didn't book those seperately?
-
Great thank you!

Great thank you. Do you know if it also includes non alcoholic ones for children in the same cabin?
(Last time we sailed MSC they were not included so this was a pleasant surprise)
-
Hi - does anyone know if the 12 vouchers are per cabin or per person?
Thank you,
Jessie

Thanks all for the additional info on Smiths Cove. I am not sure what I was looking at before but this help!
-
Thanks all! I think we may try to check out Smiths Cove for a bit after a trip to the Turtle Farm.
Jaga- are you sure you are referring to Smiths Cove? They both look like they are left of the port area when I've looked at google maps.
-
Somebeech - Would you recommend Smith Cove for a nice beach day as well? (Over other parts of 7 mile beach) We will be traveling with a toddler so the most important thing for her is shade and sand. An added bonus would be snorkeling for DH. Cemetery Beach has that but too remote with a toddler with no facilities and definitely no beach at Eden Rock.
-
I second what the others have said... Cemetery Beach and Eden Rock.
-
Been to GC several times but this time with a Toddler and thinking of going to 7 Mike beach. Where would you recommend with her? Sea grape/calico jacks or Tiki? We would definitely want to get some chairs and an umbrella for shade!
Thank you,
-
Do you definitely want to take an excursion? You can do some great snorkeling right from shore in a Grand Cayman on your own.
Take public bus $2pp to Cemetery Beach, great spot. Then come back to port and snorkel Eden rock, right near the tender docks.
-
I read a couple posts above that PB does not have a pool.... it looks like they do on their website, did that change?
-
I would like to know this as well. We will have a 19 month old with us so looking for something with a nice beach, food, chairs with shade/umbrellas and snorkeling would be a bonus.
We've always gone to Dzul Ha (Money Bar) on our other trips to Cozumel which meets most of the criteria above except for the part with the 19th month old. Since there's not a sloped beach there it may be a little dangerous with a little one.
-
Regarding the strollers... I have a City Mini as my full size stroller and a nicer umbrella stroller (can't remember the name) that reclines and had a large cover. It's nice but obviously not as nice as my City Mini. Since my umbrella stroller reclines would you all recommend bringing that since its lighter or still better to bring my regular stroller?

Thanks drenee! I'm making notes!!!

Hello all! This will be our first time cruising with our daughter who will be 18 months at the time of sailing so definitely looking forward to any and all suggestions. Definitely trying to avoid traveling once we get to the port if possible since we won't have a car seat and I know how crazy the driving can be in the Caribbean. Has anyone with little ones been to the ports below. Looking for suggestions on things to do in the port
Costa Maya - I know this is a cruiseship made port so plenty of beach here, can't remember last time I was there if there were any kids play areas.
Cozumel - Any suggestions on a good beach to go to here fr children? I know most of the shoreline is Rocky at port areas. Still trying to find out what dock the NCL Star comes in to.
Roatan - If we were going into the new Carnival port we'd be fine but I think the Star docks at Coxen hole. I have not been to this dock in quite a few years. Is there anything to do here? We usually go over to Tabyana Beach so we may need to do this again even though it requires some travel.

Following this thread as well. We will be on the Star November 8th and going to Harvest Caye. I really hope it will be open for our stop as I was really looking forward to this new port. This will be our first time traveling with our daughter who will be 18 months old at the time so we are hoping it will be similar to the Carnival port in Roatan. We did not want to have to travel much with her and just hit the beach. The tendering to Belize City was always the worst as it was such a long trip and can be really bad in rough weather. I do hope they still offer an option for travelers to get to the mainland to book private excursions though as there are so many great things to see in Belize once you get away from the port area.

Thanks First Time, that's a great map. I will add that to my notes! :)
-
Thanks First Time! That's exactly what I needed to know.
Some of the pictures of the old town show wide areas of wall along the water so just wanted see if you could walkl up there and that it's basically the same "access" as the hike.
-
Thanks First Time! So what is the "mule track"? I have never heard this term used. Is this a different path up/down to the fort?
Also, if you pay the 2 euro fee, you can walk the trail up to the fort and also along the tops of the walls around the city....? Am I saying that right?
-
Hi all - so I have been doing some reseach on this hike and found the reason for the discrepancy on some people getting charged for the hike and others not...
You'll pay 2 euro May-Oct, otherwise its free.
So it just depends on when you go.
Also, for those that have done this, it sounds like they refer to this hike as "walking the walls" in some places... so do you hike up the hill to the fort and walk the walls around the old town? Just need some clarification on this. I'm trying to picture this in my head.
Thank you.

Great pics Eileen!
Eileen/Shemp - did you find a map online that you used to find the trail? Any other suggestions of things to see in Kotor after the hike to the fort?
-
I was just looking at Avis online (have a discount code for them) and I saw three insurances listed: Loss Damage Waiver ($23), Personal Accident Insurance ($3.99) and Additional Liability ($11.99.) Do I want all of these?
Ericalea - I would be curious to see what others that have rented there say. It's usually best to be on the safe side when renting in another country. I know when I called one of the fees is mandatory in Cozumel (not sure which one). I didn't select any of the additional coverages when I booked and figured I could just do that when I get there an find out what they all are and what's required.

Jenny - if you dock at Puerto maya will you post back with what rental car places are there? Thank you :)
Where to pick up vouchers for Fantastica Drink Package?
in MSC Cruises

Perfect thank you so much for the clarification. That helps! They were not included when we've sailed with them in the past (we previously purchased the separate voucher package) so it was a pleasant surprised that they are now included. My daughter will be thrilled with the treats as well! (Are those good for ice cream etc?)
