  1. That would mean that each and every RCI rep would have to board each and every RCI ship and inspect each and every cabin category to be properly informed of their contents.

The reps go by the planning guide, the same planning guide that Travel Agents and Loyalty Ambassadors use when someone books a cruise on board. If the guide is wrong it certainly isn't the reps fault.

The whole idea of using a rep is because they are to help you choose a cabin they are suppose to know what they are talking about. The op could have took a guess and hope for the best on their own.

  2. Hello, everyone!

Well...I'm on the home stretch of my deployment to NY/NJ for Hurricane Sandy!

I was originally supposed to come home on Feb. 26th - but my boss kindly asked me to extend my deployment, and so I did...in the meantime, I ran into weather issues, as well as health issues, that prevented me from coming home when I wanted to.

The good news is - I'll be traveling - by train, no less - to sunny Florida tomorrow for some rest & recuperation with my family...woot! I can't fly, due to a nasty sinus infection that has decided to take up residence in my ears; they're plugged on the ground, and heaven knows what air-cabin pressure changes would do to them on a plane! So...once I hit Florida - and spend some time catching up with my long-lost Hubby and kids, whom I haven't seen in a month, I'll be back to writing....yay!

Thanks for all of your patience...it's been a long deployment, but we got a LOT done here in New York. My job was to inventory the warehouse every day, and the warehouse will be shut down this weekend - as everything is pretty much gone & distributed to the folks of NYC.

Off to my last day of work - and then tomorrow - Amtrak! (I've never ridden the train - I wonder what kind of adventures I'll have?!)

Sounds like a train review is in the works:D

  3. Thanks for your replies... I really wasn't emphasizing the sharing... that is neither here nor there... just thought it was a bit tacky-- to pull it out at dinner in the MDR... but maybe I am being snobbish! :) As stated, I can see at the buffet etc.--- but I also don't like seeing t-shirts and jeans at dinner in the MDR either.. lol! To each their own! :D

You know whats even more tacky? You having any concern that someone added flavoring to their drink... I have have no idea why would you even take the time to write about it.

  4. You call that clean and modern???? thanks for the pictures of Chankanaab after seeing the place thru your pictures we will never go there because it looks dirty and old with very old looking and uncomfortable chaise lounges. Thanks again because you saved us a trip there but im glad you enjoyed it.

Oh my the bottom of the sink is wet ... yes that is just terrible  I think you confused a park with the Ritz Carlton

  5. Thanks so much, Sherrie, for the info on Johnny Rocketts about breakfast. I wonder why they don't do it on FOS.

Do you remember what the cost was for your Bernard's tour in St.Martin?

Look forward to more of your review tomorrow. Hope you had a nice "date night" (we do that every Sat.). :D

I was on a Bernards tour .. I paid $ 40.00 per person and well worth the money they take you everywhere super friendly staff .. just be aware of the Rum Punch :D it will take you on it's own tour

  6. I'm not a beer drinker but want the cooler. It's been reported that the coolers were being sold on the Royal Promenade during the final day on recent Allure sailings. Is this also true on Oasis?

We was on the Allure 2 weeks ago and got a cooler bag right from the the bar for 12 bucks with tip ... no need to wait till the last day

  7. I hate curry!!! there I said it.

The other posts are correct everywhere you look there is indian food, first time I was on a cruise I thought there must be a really large group of indian people on board. I later found out this is the case all the time.
