Does NCL ever show football matches live on TV? My husband is devastated because his beloved Manchester United will be playing in the FA Cup Final whilst we’re on holiday, and he may miss it.
He will have no issues. They always show Rugby, Aussie Footy, and top flight Europe football matches. If anything, we have bigger issues trying to get N American sports on TVs on board….

Hi all
I'm new to Oasis class ships with cabins that look over the interior areas so please bear with me 🐻 I have watched some YouTube videos that have me concerned.
If I book a cabin on a ship like Oasis or Allure with a balcony that overlooks Central Park or Boardwalk will I be subjected to loud ship elevator-type music that I don’t necessarily like? I would hope that they at least adjust the volume at different times of the day and have no music when people are trying to sleep. Since there are 5 decks that overlook these areas, I also suspect there is a lot of variation in loudness, which is highly dependent on both cabin and speaker location. So, any guidance on where this is a problem and where this is no problem at all would be useful.
Thanks
Krusty
Boardwalk is LOUD. We had the last normal size cabin overlooking the water show. Did not anticipate the late showings. Tried to get an early rest a couple of nights. Wasn’t happening. We would book Central Park next time

Please retire this topic. It comes up every couple of years. Gets old.

We’ve always had great times on RCI. Whenever we traveled with them, the gatherings were at Happy Hour time, which is perfect
-
We have had the same issues when we’ve sailed with them. The gathering is usually at 10pm…too many other activities going on at that time. Plus, it is in the piano bar or some other places that make it very difficult to converse.

Well, my husband and I have decided to test the waters as it were and sail for the first time post Covid. Celebrating my 60th birthday, and our 30th anniversary.
I’ve never been to these islands, although he has.
First time on the Explorer, but we have sailed this class previously.
We live in Naples, FL, having moved here from Miami in 2019Might have additional people joining us. His cousin (also gay) may be joining us from Estero.

Pretty much all the ones I meet on regular cruises are fine people. Now a gay cruise, that's a different story... Probably why I avoid them!
That’s a shame. We have had wonderful experiences on the 4 gay cruises we took over the years….and we are by no means big partiers…..

We are aiming to do our first cruise post-pandemic late June of 2022 to celebrate my 60th.
Will be looking at NCL, since we have a couple of certificates from them.
Will be our first sailing since January 2020.- 2

We prefer one of the quieter bars around happy hour.
we have had the gatherings in the piano bar, but then it’s pretty rude for the entertainment when we’re trying to talk over them.
we have also had them at 9pm or later, but there are other things happening on the ship at that time…. -
We found this to be true on the breeze back in 2015… They had it in a piano bar and you want to talk to people but you don’t wanna be rude to the performer. The time was off to… They did at 10 PM when there’s a lot of other things going on the ship… I prefer the earlier ones at five or six like a happy hour
-
Probably not doing one until 2022. Two of my sisters have booked a Med Cruise with Oceana so we may join them on that.
-
Yeah. We have not sealed them a lot, but we have discovered that they do their get together is in very strange locations… Like the piano bar on one of them… Kind of hard to talk when somebody is singing… We love piano bars but it’s very difficult to get to know some people but that’s going on We have not sealed them a lot, but we have discovered that they do their get together is in very strange locations… Like the piano bar on one of them… Kind of hard to talk when somebody is singing… We love piano bars but it’s very difficult to get to know some people when that’s going on
Another trip, they were at 10 o’clock at night which most people are either doing something else or at a show etc. -
Awful. And he’s a local Naples man....😢

Both RSVP & Atlantis are great. Frankly don’t see much difference between the two. Many of the same people sail both. Europe skews a bit older which is nice.
if you’re a partier you will have a great time. If you are not you will still have a great time.
Lots of great events on board for single people. I think you would have a great time.
keep us posted with what you decide.- 1

OK. The ship is sold out but there were a couple of cancellations so they were able to get on board.
We are:
Tom & Rodney Naples FL
Doug Estero FL
Jim Milton PA
Plus my sister and hubby from Boston and two additional friends from NH
-
Hubby has two cousins who may join us. Two gay singles.
one from here, and one from central PA. -
I’m guessing no for My Heart Will Go On....😁

MSC has great spas, but they are more Asian inspired as opposed to Elemis which most other cruise lines use. They may give you a teeny tiny little envelope which you are supposed to use as a cover-up…😄😄
it is NOT, as I learned, an eye patch. 😂😂😂

This has nothing to do with sailing/cruising, but a request for directions.
Larry and I are wanting to spend one to two months in Europe during Tucson's hot summer months. Any suggestions for forums, etc. to find others who spend extended time on land trips?
Thanks.
Not sure about that but we did two separate month-long Europe trips this past year. One of them did involve a 10 night cruise but the other one was flying and taking the trains between locations
