I'll be on the Sunshine in a couple weeks and will post a review with FunTimes when we return. It will be a different departure port with a different itinerary, but it'll be the Sunshine regardless.
At the bottom of their signature they have a review for their latest cruise that features the Fun Times in the review.

Glad you posted this. This is my first ship with the Shake Spot and the menu looks amazing!

We disembarked on November 8 and had FTTF and carried our luggage off. We were in our car by 10:15.

My parents just got back from the Glory and each received journals with a nice pen.

According to the National Hurricane Center it appears it is slowing down and will not directly hit Baltimore. We're still going to get some storms but not as bad as everyone feared.
-
Does anyone remember which spa deals they saw during their most recent cruise? I know the usually stay the same from ship to ship.
-
Unfortunately not. There are webcams of the Cheaspeake Bridge where she sails under. I think it is because port of Baltimore is smaller? I may be wrong.
If anyone does end up finding one please post it.

Mine are 4 and 9 year old boys as well and are looking forward to their first Halloween at sea, as am I!

We go the third night as well. We do not miss an elegant night and typically we have not liked what was being served on the third night. I know the ribs were not on that night, DH loves them.

I have hit some storms during that time frame and itinerary but it only stormed in the evenings for us here and there. We did have a brief rain storm one time during the day but it was quick and was sunny the whole time.
I prefer to sail during hurricane season, mostly because of the cost, but I enjoy the weather a little cooler than that of the Summer.

I have two DDs (6 and 2) who cruise with us, but I'm still against this idea for two reasons.
First, I am just against kids menus in general. I don't think there is "kid food" and "adult food" — there is just food. So while I think it would be cool if they offered smaller portions of menu items, I don't think we need to see chicken tenders and grilled cheese added to the steakhouse menu.
Second, I think it's nice to have a couple of areas on the ship where you can get away from kids. I certainly disagree with those who question bringing your children on vacation, because we always travel with ours. But I think the steakhouse is an upscale experience that should be kind of a quiet spot to get away. I know children are allowed now, but the price kind of helps keep kids out. Mom and Dad can drop them at Camp Carnival for a bit if they want to go to the steakhouse for dinner.
I agree 100% with you.

That's so exciting! I can't wait for our cruise which is still 167 more days :( Have fun!!!!

What time did the port start letting people leave and you guys in to park?
-
Can't wait to read the rest of your review.
What time did they let you all start parking?

The breeze and all her stuff with the size of the spirit/legend class ship.
Yes! That would be perfect.

It will be tight when you all are in the room at once, especially when trying to get ready but if you can plan a routine it will be fine. Look into utilizing the spa for an extra bathroom if you all need to shower at the same time.

Thanks for the responses. now can the costume get elaborate?
I saw a review from this past Halloween and one person was dressed as Edward Scissorhands and pulled it off perfectly! So be elaborate!

I agree with what others have said about the weight of the door, especially while sailing. My 7 year old son, who is big for his age, struggled to open the door.

:( I've been diagnosed with Stomach cancer, as of yesterday, and will be in treatment for awhile. My Dr advised me against leaving the country until its over. Canceling was the most painful moment of my life.
but, Aruba will wait, and when I've recovered I will get there. I was only 38 days out. How sad.
I was thrilled to score a balcony on this 8 day trip for 220. for each of us, that kind of deal probably won't come my way again.
So disappointed.
I'm sorry to hear that. Prayers and best wishes your way, you will be on that cruise before you know it :)

OK everyone, me and DW are planning on taking the kids on another cruise in Jan 2017, but we need your advice for the itineraries. Which one would you go and why?
Both are 8 day cruises on the Vista.
#1 Grand Turk; San Juan, Puerto Rico; St Kitts, WI; St. Maarten, NA
#2 Grand Turk; La Romana, Dominican Republic; Curacao; Aruba
There is a little bit of a price difference, but we're not too worried about it. Just looking for the funnest and best spots for the kids and us.
For me this would be a hard one only because I have not been to any of those ports but going off of which ones I am looking to go to on my next cruise I would say #1. I really want to see St.Maarten and Puerto Rico.

What are the itineraries? Based off of cabin and ship I would choose the Sunshine. It has a lot of features that I haven't been able to experience yet.
-
How was the internet? Unfortunately I have to work on two on-line classes during our upcoming cruise.
I will be taking two online courses while we are on our cruise as well, are you not able to get a week a head so you don't have to do it on vacation? I know probably a silly question and I know some professors don't allow that.
From my previous experience the internet was slower than at home but manageable. Just load times can be slow.
-
That is a hard decision. Either option is great!
I would personally choose the balcony as I only choose a balcony or higher. Being on my balcony is the highlight of my vacation.

Mojito with Malibu rum instead of Bacardi. Coconut Mojito :)
Beach Question
in Bahamas
Posted
I have been to Nassau numerous times but have never gone to the local beaches. We are going in October and 2 cruise ships will be in port that day. I've heard Junkanoo Beach can be crowded when several ships are in port but is it typically crowded with 2 ships in port?
We, myself, husband and teenage sons, are looking for a beach with chair and umbrella rentals as well as restrooms available. Any suggestions?
Thank you!
