Thanks to all who took the time to reply. We are already booked and look forward to both sailings.

Thanks Yamanid! That's EXACTLY what we needed to hear. I can't wait!

Can anyone who cruised Regal Princess last year during Christmas and/or New Years tell me if there was a huge increase in children on the ship, to a point of it being annoying if you are not used to a lot of them running around? We have booked back to back this year and hubby is not sure if he can handle it. I'm trying to talk him into not cancelling. Please help.

Arriving Amber Cove on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Don't see any ship sponsored excursions to Damajaqua Cascades, so am wondering if anyone has done this tour with an independent company, or on their own, and how much it costs, etc.

Thanks. You answered my question about booking.

Downsmead - Do you have any knowledge of the smoking by the pool? My husband is willing to try if we can get movies on the TV and no smoking by the pool. Also saw another post that said the buffet may not be open at night. Does anyone know anything about this? They said it had been a while since they had sailed on the Pacific though. Thanks.

Thanks. I forgot to ask if smoking is permitted around the pool area. Since we are non-smokers, we really enjoyed the policy on Regal, where just about the only place for those people to go was in the aft on Deck 17. It was so refreshing to not have to worry about where to lay out wondering which side of the pool was smoking vs. non-smoking.

Has anyone been on this ship that can tell me what might be different/the same as the larger Princess ships. We just got off the Regal and it was WONDERFUL! Am wondering if Pacific has the TV on Demand like the Regal. We also thought the Regal buffet was the best of any cruise line we have been on. I am sure the Pacific doesn't have anything near this size, but just wondering how it might compare, even with some of Princess Grand style ships, which we've also been on. I also see they don't have a movie screen by the pool. If anyone who has sailed Pacific could provide information about it, I would greatly appreciate it, as we are considering a booking later this year.

If, by the end of the cruise, you have unused onboard credit, can you go to the casino and request cash from them in order to not lose the credit if customer service says it is listed as a nonrefundable credit from your travel agent? We have done this before on RCCL but didn't know if it worked the same on Princess. RCCL will charge you a 5% fee for their trouble. Also, just returned from Regal Princess (we didn't have any credit to use) and they played the Love Boat song for their horn. Does anyone know if any of the other Princess ships have that for their horn sound?

Thanks Karen. My husband was just wondering if there was anything special. We did one many years ago and didn't notice anything special at that time either, so didn't know if anything had changed recently.

Can someone who sailed at this time please tell me if there were any special activities for New Year's celebration and what would have been complimentary and what you would have had to pay extra for. Such as free drinks at midnight or you had to purchase your own, etc.?Thanks,

For anyone who has seen this broadway production show, is it good? I am booked for next December and wonder if anyone knows if it will still be showing at that time.

Going on Freedom in 1 month. For those just off, what was the Broadway Production show? I just got off Liberty last week and it was Saturday Night Fever. Just wondering what to expect. Thanks.

Thanks. I was hoping we could be onboard by noon.

Haven't cruised Princess in a while and am wondering if they are sticklers with their times for checking in according to what deck you are on. Cruising on Crown out of Seattle to Alaska this Saturday and Caribe deck doesn't board until 2:00 p.m. and wanted to get on earlier to grab some lunch. Actually, the first time they have listed is 1:00 p.m. and we usually get on earlier with other cruise lines. Any input would be appreciated as to what time we might "really" be able to board.

Thanks to all who wrote in. I'll let them know what everyone thought and they can decide if they want to chance it. I understand that you should try to be first in line and "move with a purpose". We always do that as well.

Our friends want to know if they have an 8:45 am flight out of Fort Lauderdale in December (Sunday the 14th) if they can make that walking off the ship? Last time we went on Oasis we walked off at 6:30 am and that would have been no problem, but that was several years ago, so don't know if anything has changed since then. Appreciate any feedback here from others that had early flights home.

Has anyone stayed in 7172 (corner aft balcony)? If so, can you tell me if you were kept up at night from the Congo Bar/Safari Club being below on Deck 6. Also, if anyone has stayed in any of the aft cabins on Deck 10, if there was any late noise from the Windjammer Café Outdoor area on Deck 11 above. Trying to decide between one of these 2 rooms. Any help would be appreciated.

Wondering if you went to the captain's club before dinner if there was a cocktail hour with other elite or suite guests, or if you received coupons to use at other bars and, if so, how many did you get?

Can anyone who just got off Regal and watched movies in their room tell me the names of the newer movies that were available?
