  1. Do they offer any sugar free options for desert in the steakhouse on Miracle? If we call them a day or two before our reservation will they whip something up? This will be our first time trying a carnival steakhouse. On Royal Caribbean's chops they would take care of us if we gave them advance notice! Hope carnival will do the same! :)

  2. Suggestion from past experience on the Spirit Class Ships - Vista Cabins with wrap around balconies. Have been on every ship of this class. Will be on the Miracle next year a few weeks after you. 12/26/15 over New Years. Have booked 6329 - Starboard side. I have found that the only problem with the top level on the Vista Staterooms is that the soot from the Stack that is emitted overnite when travelling to another port coats the chairs and loungers. They are cleaned each day however, be careful when you use them early in the morning.

The panoramic views are great and the layout of the suite is perfect. Full Bathtub with Jacuzzi and double sink works well. We have had this type of cabin at least 4 other times. In fact, we were able to fit about 20 cruise critic guests on one of our trips while leaving New York and going past the Statue of Liberty :-). Enjoy your cruise. If you decide to change the cabin level, make sure you check the layout of the rooms. There are a total of 10 Vista suites on Decks 4,5,6,7 & 8. I believe 2 or 4 of them on the lower levels are laid out differently. I started a roll call on the 12/26/15 voyage.

Wow! Cruising past the stature of liberty with all of your cruise critic friends on that great suite must have been amazing!!!

Thanks for the info can't wait to go!! :) a New Years cruise sounds like fun!!

  3. In long beach the starboard side is against the dock. The QM will be in front of you and you can watch the loading of the ship.

In Cabo the bow faces the marina so the port side will have a nice view of the arches, starboard faces the beaches.

In PV the port side is against the dock, the starboard faces out to the marina.

If you go to Mazatlan the starboard is against the dock with a view of the town and the Pacifico brewery. Port side faces stone island.

This is the normal orientation but it

Thanks for the info that is good to know! :)

  4. We have had 8268 & 8273 on Legend and Miracle. Never had noise issues. We like 8268 because in the cruises we were on, and docked, it was always port side. 3ppl was not an issue for us either. We had the best time in those suites and those balconies.

Thanks sounds great! ;) going to call and see if 8268 is still available .

  5. Congrats on your 25th! There is no bad side to a vista suite :) Mom has a lot of anxiety lmao and 5 days with mom alone has me having anxiety :)......but it is to be expected and her dr this week gave her the all clear with her medical issues and gave her preparations ...missing dad horribly but this will be good.

Thanks ;) lol i think I would be the same with my mom too for that many days! LoL :D glad she is good to go. So hard when they feel that way :( my mother in law passed away a year ago this past May and my poor 86 yr old father in law will sit on jus couch and listing to music they loved to dance to while looking at her picture:( it broke my heart when he told us he was doing that! Hopefully time will help heal them both.

  6. 3 weeks is a pretty long dry dock for just "cosmetic" enhancements so I, too, am really hoping and praying for Guy's and Blue Iguana Cantina :-)

Two of my last three cruises had the upgrades and I have been spoiled!

    Me too!!! Fingers crossed!!! :)

  7. I am so so jealous! LOL I miss the Miracle in NY. While the Splendor is a very nice ship and the staff has been great.....i just love those wrap around 2 room suites, I am a balcony girl! I will be sailng Splendor on 10/11 with my mother. Her first time on a cruise, and her first real vacation since my dad passed last year. My mom is awesome...my parents love for each other after 51 yrs is inspirational and the care she took of him even though she was in pain takes my breath away and I miss him so much. She needs to take a risk and try something new like cruising........umm mom if you are trolling boards dont read.....LMAO I love you but wish we had that 2 room suite :)

Hi Darlene, thanks I'm a balcony girl too! Can't wait to try out this vista suite for the first time! Hope we picked the good side of the ship! It will be our 25th anniversary too! Sorry about the loss of your dad xx :( 51 yrs is a very long time! Glad your mom has you to get her out there and try new things! ;) I bet she will be hooked after that first cruise! :) enjoy your cruise.

  8. I have been in cabin 8268 on the Miracle ship twice....I absolutely LOVED it! Never had a problem with noise, throughly enjoyed the balcony, and while I love my 2 dear friends I was a bit concerned about an 8 day trip in the same cabin with them, it was awesome! Everyone had their little bit of privacy because of the two rooms. Enjoy :)

    Sounds great! I can't wait!!! Thanks :D

  9. We were in 8273 on the Pride and never had noise issues. There are only one or two clamshells above those cabins since they stick out a bit further than the deck space that has the clamshells and loungers. It was one of the most quiet cabins we've been in and we've been all over the ships on our previous cruises. You would be safe booking either cabin.
