I needed an extension cord on the Allure. I called Maintenance and they brought me a huge heavy duty orange extension cord. Next time I will bring a smaller one myself. If they take it, they take it.

Brought one on-board the Allure this past June with no problems. Depending on what side of the bed you sleep, you may need an extension cord as the outlet behind the bed is only on one side.

We are sailing on the Allure in June and I've already learned a lot from your review. Sounds like we'll have a BBC cabin - I was wondering which it would be. And great pic and description of the location of the secret balconies.

There are several piers in Cozumel, the Allure docks on the international pier. I always take a taxi down there and it takes like 3-5 minutes to get there, I could not imagine walking there. It might be a few miles?

How far is downtown Cozumel from the ship? We've been there before many years ago and I remember walking to "town." But, it has been awhile and I was wondering if they built newer bigger docks farther away from the nice downtown shopping area.

No signing and no tip added if you have the soda package.

I think I've used the souvenir cup once while on the cruise. When I'm up at the pool area, I just head over to the bar and ask for a coke and flash them my seapass.

 

Do you have to sign each time you get a coke at a bar? And, do they add in a tip each time?

How much does 1 soda package cost on the Allure?

 

If anyone hasn't tried the freestyle machines, you can try them out at Burger King and Pei Wei. That is where I have seen them.

WOW! I am so happy I found your review. We sail on the Allure (western) in June and this review is really getting me excited. I have a lot of catching up to do - I'm only thru page 11. Now I've got something to look forward to tomorrow!

I know how you feel! We are Disney fanatics and spend a LOT of time on the DIS boards.

 

But, we do venture off to sail with other cruise lines. It is sometimes a relief and at the same time very exciting to try something new. It is good not to know what to expect at every turn - the way we do on DCL.

 

Still love them, though!;)
