0k finally got my refund today for my cancelled cruise of 23 March. There is a disconnect in communication between customer services and the refunders that has added to my frustration. This does P&O no credit at all.

Now transferred to Refund Received

As P&O have notified me that my refund was going to be made 5 days ago I go through my usual daily ritual of checking my credit card account knowing full well that the refund won't be there. My sail date was 23 March.
This might be happening with other cruise lines but P&O have lost a customer.

As it's 60 days since our cancelled cruise sail date and still no refund I thought I'd give P&O a gee up email. it seems that the old customer services mail box is full up, no surprise there then.

Has anybody that has had whatever reason to cancel their cruise ACTUALLY had a refund yet from P&O
I havent had a refund yet - patience is a virtue I don`t possess...
Significant that no one has replied.

That's correct. I am awaiting my refund which goes to my TAs Client account and then gets refunded to me.
I hope you're right. My TA doesn't seem at all interested in processing my request for a refund. P&O will not tell if the refund offer is still on as more recent emails on the subject don't mention a refund.
I contacted my Travel Insurer about a claim and they said as P&O had offered a credit the TI would not pay a claim.

As my closing sentence suggested I was interested in other cruise experiences as well as Ventura hence the thread on this board.

Is there one, and do they have dart competitions?
Recently sailed the Ventura and didn't see a dart board, The Exchange is the sports bar and don't think there is enough space to make darts safe.

Much is written about onboard sickness on cruises but not so much about after cruise illness.
My wife and I have just got back from P&O Ventura's cruise to Greece and Greek Islands and both started the trip with no health problems. Now we have the mother of all chest infections and judging by the coughing, sneezing and spluttering that went on all over the ship we are not the only ones. I know that it is inevitable that illness will spread in the confines of a ship but it does make me wonder if the pain is worth the gain.
Would be interested to hear from fellow suffers aboard Ventura or others.

I will opt out of paying the increase, and pay the amount that was in force when I made my original booking. In cash terms the amount is negligible, but I do not believe it is correct to alter the amount post booking.
Agree.It is discretionary after all.

Called FO today about availability on a Boudicca cruise and the rep said only a few quiet cabins left. When I asked what a quiet cabin was I was told where there was no engine noise or vibration which has put me off.
Is noise/vibration a problem on this ship?

Agree with the positive posts on Mandoo. Took his tour + beach tour of 5 hours on 31 October and would strongly recommend. He did what he said he would.

Great tour with Noel on 28 October, he seems to know everyone on the island. I would recommend.

Took a tour with Lawrence on 27 October and would recommend. Finished by spending time on the beach before returning to St. John's.
On Britannia January 1st to 15th. Now in isolation!
