My waiters on all 4 of my Fantasy cruises too. I plan on asking for them again in November. They are awesome!!!!
I agree with the V cabins... I made the mistake of upgrading to one for an extra $500 .
Are they in the Your Time Dining room?

YAY!!! Finally a cruise that's within driving distance and it's going someplace other than the Bahamas!!! Exciting news for sure! And the Pride is such a great ship! :D

I don't mind at all, but I'm afraid I don't remember. I recall there were 3 levels, basic, basic with skin care, and the top level with skin care and massage. I made the appointments for him. He liked the first basic one so much he asked me to arrange a second one for him. I was surprised but happy because he never does anything nice for himself like that. So for the last one I loaded it up with the extras. His report afterwards..."That was great!"

No worries! Lol. Thanks for the review. I didn't even know that this was something they offered. I think I'll book one for my husband! :)

I'm really enjoying your review! Can't wait to sail the Fantasy this winter!

Thank you. I should have also mentioned thar we loved the spa...very reasonably priced considering it was a ship. DH actually let himself be treated to a shave...he loved it. I guess that is a great thing about cruises. You do things you would never experience in your everyday life.

Now that sounds like something I just might be able to get my husband to go for! Do you mind if I ask how much that was? Thanks.

Hi! I always do tea time and we've always been sat right beside whoever else is attending tea time. It's been a fun way to meet some other passengers and chat. They typically have an assortment of tea bags and you can choose your flavor. Enjoy! Tea time has always been one of my favorite things on the ship to do. :)

I think it was $12? We used a credit card.... Our Discover doesn't charge a transaction fee for the Bahamas But it was around $12....
It is a self guided tour that you can take at whichever pace you want to set- which was nice.
Sounds great! Thanks.

The Pirate Museum sounds fun! Do you recall how much it was for tickets?

What a great review so far! I can't wait to read more. I'm so thrilled to see so many good things about the Fantasy, looking forward to sailing on her in December!:D

They only sell cider in 16 oz cans. My research has led me to believe they are $5.75 per can. One of the better values on the ship. Strongbow is also 5.4% alcohol per volume while Angry Orchard is 5%. Go for Angry Orchard if you prefer the sweeter American style ciders.
That's on par with a restaurant price, I agree it is a good value!

I was on the Fantasy in February and they sold Angry Orchard in tall boys. I wasn't expecting that size and barely drank half before it got warm. I want to say it was $7 or $8.

That's good to know! Thanks!

Thanks for the great review!!! I can't wait to sail the Fantasy in December!:D

I wonder if the cider is being served on tap? Or just bottles? Also do the carry Woodchuck?

Fantastic review!!!

What a fantastic idea!! I'm definitely going to start doing this too! I forget many of the details after the cruise is over and this will help me to remember them forever! :D
Hi Silverspringcruiser :)My answer is slightly outside of the box and really doesn't have anything
in common regarding having more fun, however it is has a common aspect
concerning the title of your post, 'Stuff you didn't think to do until you were
a repeat cruiser'...
After our very 1st voyage 31 years ago, my wife & I wrote down everything
we experienced when we got home. From our 2nd voyage on, until the present,
we decided to keep cruise journals.
Prior to going to sleep each evening my wife & I discuss the days events and
log them.
We have been doing this for over three decades now and have many journals.
The strolls down memory lane are wonderful. In some ways more entertaining
than the photo's or video we have collected over the years.
Even picking out/purchasing the journal prior to the cruise has become
a fun task in itself.
To us, it is another way, an interesting way, to save and also relive the
voyage...

WOW! What a fantastic review! I just sat here and read through the first 17 pages! I loved it! Best review I've ever read on this forum hands down! Thanks. I was so on the fence feeling kind of remorseful for booking this cruise on a whim. I thought I might be disappointed having sailed two much larger Carnival ships previously, but now I know that I'm going to have just as great of a time on the Fantasy! :D

I LOVE it! Lol! This wins hands down best towel animal ever!

I'm not a beer drinker either. I prefer fruity or sweet drinks. My two faves are Kiss on the Lips and Miami Vice! Yum-o!!

Thanks for this awesome review!!! I just booked a December cruise on the Fantasy a few days ago. I was having second thoughts but after reading your review I am stoked and looking forward to this cruise!!!

Thanks for the quick responses everybody!! :) Now to decide what to do....I impulsively booked a cruise on the Fantasy, but now I'm thinking I may have made a mistake. In comparison to the Pride or the Conquest it just doesn't seem to have much to offer. Hmmmm...decisions, decisions. Anyone have any input on the Fantasy? It seems to be a much smaller ship, and I know it's the oldest in the fleet but I read that it had been updated in the past several years?
-
Just wondering what the penalty would be for switching from one Carnival ship to another with early saver? Also, any way to get around the fee? Thanks.
-
I have really enjoyed your review, and especially all the pictures! I would love to see the Fun Times whenever you get a chance. Thanks!!
-
What a fantastic review, thank you! I'm really anticipating having a great time on the Pride in a couple of months! And p.s. I loved your dresses, super cute!

I'm really enjoying your review and your pictures! Thanks for the tip on the hotel with parking included too, I have been looking for options of where to stay pre-cruise. :) Can't wait to read the rest of your review!

I hope this will truly be available on all ships! I booked the Fantasy and was really disappointed about there not being a steakhouse, but this is a great substitute!!
