  1. Just like to throw out there...If the baby is crying in the room...the neighbors can hear it loud and clear. I've been the neighbor.

Same here there is no insulation in the walls between cabins ,, Carnival did give us 30% off our next cruise ,because of the crying next door ,, Us and the people on the other side of crying baby ,, Security did go to there room and let them know they needed to do something about the crying

  2. I haven't ever been assigned a boarding time. Are you talking about the final boarding time that's on the boarding pass? I think that is 3.00

You have to get a check in time ,,That is the time you are allowed to enter the cruise terminal ,,, and they enforce it

  3. Hate it.

Understand the need for it, BUT hate it.

Being packed in like sardines in the hot sun.

    Hate it.

That is only on the older ships , All new ships you are in A/C in Mdr's , theater , clubs ,Dream , Magic , Breeze , Vista , Horizon are all done inside , Not out on the decks

  4. To the OP who is a new cruiser, this was said tongue in cheek. The rules state that those things are not allowed in the MDR, yet some people still wear them and it offends some cruisers.

We always just wander into the MDR as soon as we board and look for our table. There is usually someone in there that will help you find it. That way on the first night, we just walk right to our table or booth and get out of the way of the people still looking for theirs.

Hope you have a great cruise and don't be surprised if you're hooked on cruising.

shorts and t-shirts are fine in MDR except elegant night ..

  5. the best thing to do is check in for the muster and tell the crew member if there is an area for the special needs people. this way you can avoid the crowds and can sit down during the drill. depending on the ship, you have to stand in a very crowded area but the special needs area is usually in a lounge area

Only the older ,smaller boats ,do you still stand outside ,, The 5 newest ships ,you sit down inside , MDR's theater , clubs ect for muster drill

  6. When i was on the vista last year they had hanging chairs outside some rooms. I noted scratches and damage to walls nearby. I think they will be a thing of the past in a few years.

Havana Cabins on the Vista has them

  7. we’re traveling with a two year old that is gluten and dairy free. He eats organic, dairy and gluten free soup every day. It comes in a carton. Will we be able to get access to a microwave to heat the soup? His diet is very limited.

Are there any gluten free options on board?

No microwave's on a ship for public use ,,,

  8. They may have added the steel drums back. For two or three of our cruises, they did not have any at all. I know there were a lot of complaints registered because they did away with them. It use to be a whole band with two or three steel drums. On our last cruise, it was one guy and he only played once or twice on the Lido deck.

Steel drums play everyday , on The Breeze ..no lack of them ,,,
