  1. What is your question RoddyGateau?

I'm so sorry. I did respond to your original posting but somehow my comment did not appear. What I had intended to say is that our experience, when arriving in Copenhagen on Azamara Quest last July, was that there were plenty of taxis waiting so I don't believe that there is any need to book one. I do hope that you're planning to spend some time in Copenhagen it is a great city to enjoy for a few days.

  2. The OP'S cruise from Singapore to Abu Dhabi is available on Celebrity UK site with free drinks package plus other perks. I don't know how the prices compare but would guess they are good with the current exchange rate. But be aware of the restrictive practices when booking through the UK eg no price drops, total loss of deposit if cruise cancelled, administration fee to make any changes no matter how minor....

That's interesting. Thanks for the information. I'll follow up with my TA.

  3. I think there are still good values on Celebrity, but you have to look carefully....

For instance, my wife and I are booked on a suite on Infinity for 5 nights with all 4 perks for $1039 pp.

Yes, you're correct. We have a 15 day Ft. Lauderdale to San Diego in a CS booked for next year and it is quite a bit cheaper than the 15 day Singapore to Abu Dhabi and includes all four perks too. I would have thought that the Panama Canal cruise would be at least as popular as the Asian cruise which makes the price differential even more puzzling.

  4. Have just booked a B2B on Connie from Singapore to Rome in April 2019. The first leg (Singapore to Abu Dhabi) seems very expensive ($7,400 per person for 15 nights in an S1 with no perks offered). Is this a very popular cruise, hence the price, or is there another reason? The second leg, in the same S1, also 15 nights is considerably less costly. Any thoughts on whether there is likely to be a price drop as the final payment date approaches?

  5. On our nov 16 sailing it was included in the package. It was unlimited. My wife and I ate $160 worth ... So it might not be included anymore [emoji23]

Very impressive! Our capacity for sushi is quite high but I'm not sure that we can match that. Thanks for the information.

  6. I'm about to sail on Constellation next week out of Singapore. It's only my 2nd cruise & my first was on Cunard. This was a last minute booking so got a great deal on a balcony cabin - which is good. I realise it will be different from my last one but all I've read about the ship since booking is pretty negative. I'm trying to think it can't be too bad, so just not mentioning my concerns to my husband & keeping my fingers crossed. Anything positive anyone can tell me would greatly appreciated.

My wife and I will be on the same cruise and are really looking forward too it. I'm always amused to read totally negative reviews of past cruises that we have thoroughly enjoyed. I think that some reviewers comments are triggered by a single bad incident which leads them to look for other imperfections to complain about. We have never been on a "perfect" cruise but simply don't let the odd thing that we don't like detract from all the wonderful experiences that cruising offers. You'll have a wonderful time!

  7. We make this decision based on the number of sea days on the cruise. For port intensive cruises we find that we don't spend enough time in the cabin to justify the CS and are happy with an S2. However, on our last cruise to Hawaii we had five days at sea and really enjoyed having the additional space, both in the suite and on the veranda, that the CS offered.

  8. Yes, you will get it the night before the end of your 1st leg.

Our experience on a South American B2B last year was they would not let us buy duty free at the end of the first cruise for use on the second. However, the easy way round this is to have someone who is leaving the ship after the first leg buy it for you - no problem!
