We sailed to Israel on another cruise line in October.  We were there for 2 days.  The first day we booked a cruise line excursion- the Dead Sea and Masada.  We specifically booked a cruise line excursion for the first day because Israeli immigration process is longer and cruise line excursions had first priority.

The 2nd day we booked a private tour with Guided Tours Israel and cant recommend them enough.  They were great to deal with, we saw what we wanted, and made sure we got back with plenty of time.

So since you went through immigration your first day in Israel, the subsequent days you could easily disembark without going through immigration again even if it’s a different port in Israel?

    thanks!

  2. Thank you for all the replies. So last night I was able to place a courtesy hold on a cabin that I wanted for a Norway 2024 cruise. I was assured that I have 24 hours in which to keep that courtesy hold. So today I called my travel agent and was told that tje “hold”was canceled last night at 11 PM. I was sleeping last night at 11 PM so it certainly wasn’t me. I called the Executive Offices of Celebrity and all they said is they have no idea, but it was canceled. Today I wrote a letter to Lisa Perlo. This was totally unacceptable and our second choice cabin had already been taken. The first choice cabin was gone as well so we chose our third choice.

  3. I will want  to put a courtesy hold tomorrow on a cabin for a cruise being released tomorrow and then have my travel agent take it over later.
I have done a few mock bookings to see how do I  put a courtesy hold on a reservation. What’s  weird is sometimes the option is available to place a courtesy hold and then if I try it again later I don’t get the option and all that pops up is a page

to place a deposit with a credit card.
Has anyone had this same experience or am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

  4. I want to book a specialty dining restaurant for an upcoming reservation. Being elite plus I get a 15% discount on the fee for specialty dining. How do I book that pre-cruise online and apply the 15%? I spoke to Celebrity and they thought ( weren’t sure) that I had to pay full price and then go to Guest Relations on board to get the 15% credited back. I can’t believe that’s the way it has to be done.

It is VERY sad but in actual fact not their fault. Poor and insufficient training these people are working virtually for the most part and at times have difficulty with languages. Pretty much all they can do is make a booking. I was looking at a deck plan on a particular ship to see what was above and below me.  The cabin I was looking at was forward and when I asked the agent what was below deck 11 she said deck 10. An experienced agent would know what I meant. 😆  The majority of them have never been on a ship.

Oh my! I’m laughing over here. 🤣It’s not really funny. Very frustrating.

It's pretty sad and inexcusable that a Celebrity agent has no idea how to figure this out.  I can only assume they have no idea that thanks to these Boards, many of us have been able to determine whether the bed is by the bath or the balcony whether it is through the indentations on the floor plans for the E-class or using the spread sheet (thanks to hundreds and hundreds of CC posters) for the S-class ships.

I actually called back 3 times and not one agent could give me an answer. I asked all of them to check with their superiors as maybe they would know. Nope!

I learn everything I need to know on these amazing boards. ❤️

I've sent several issues/concerns to that Celebrity Engagement Center address.  I've not received any reply ever.  Not a lot of "engagement" going on, imo.

I’ve never had a response when I’ve emailed the engagement center. Send a direct email to

    llutoff-perlo@celebritycruises.com

if you want to get a response. Include your phone number and you’ll get a return response fairly quickly,

This is what I have.  Note:  I sent an email to the Engagement Centre and never received a reply.  Maybe this will work for you.

Thank you for the info. I’ve tried that phone number and can never get anyone to pick up. The recording states a 30 minute hold time but I waited on hold much longer than that and finally had to hang up.

I may have to contact Lisa Perlos office as that seems to be the only way to get any attention.

  9. I need to contact Captains Club for some points that I did not receive on an activity that I did on Power Up Points and I’m not sure the best way to get a hold of them. I’ve called various phone numbers that I’m told are for captains club but none of them have gone through to CC or I’m on hold for so long that I eventually have to hang up. Is there anybody  that knows a direct email or phone number that somebody will actually respond to in a timely manner? Thank you

The wording is though that Up-to-date passengers are not required to have a test at terminal. So it might mean that they can take test in terminal if they want as well. But I will take my test one day prior and don't have to then wait that much in terminal for testing and getting results. It will be faster boarding for me then. 🙂

I Was wondering the same thing as well. We are “up-to-date”as well and only have one day before to test in our hotel room. If for some reason we don’t have a good Internet connection to do the E med test it would be nice to know that I could come to the pier and test there before I board. I have placed a call into the executive offices of Celebrity and I’m waiting to hear back to see if the up-to-date passengers can pay and receive a Covid test at the pier.

The CDC guidelines changed several weeks ago to allow this for some passengers.  Passengers who are 'up to date' with vaccinations, ie have had booster if eligible, can now test 3 days pre-cruise but for those who are 'fully vaccinated' (ie no booster) it's still 2 days.

Carnival amended their policy fairly quickly after signing up to the new CDC guidelines.  Princess followed, and this week HAL have too.

Although Celebrity also signed up for the new CDC guidelines, I haven't yet seen any suggestion of them changing to the new testing times.

I hope Celebrity changes it to 3 days. Where did you read this change from the CDC to 3 days? Could you post the link?

As I mentioned before I don’t think anyone in the US was eligible.

We all used the link provided by mikkelhansen from Denmark.

I have already sent a email to celebrity engagement center.

I figured I would give it try and maybe get lucky and get the points

Please let us know if you hear back from Celebrity. 🤞

Has anyone in the US received their 2pts from the EU quiz last month?    Just wondering at what point should I email them about missing points. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We haven’t received ours either yet. I’m thinking we may not be eligible for the points in the US.

  14. We are one of the Constellation cruises with a disembarkation port change from Venice to Ravenna next May. Celebrity sent a letter stating that each person would be issued a $50 OBC for the change, I checked my reservation and only received $50 and not $100 as there are two of us in the cabin.

Anyone else have this incorrect amount on their reservation?

If O thinks Marina/Riviera (785 ft/66,084 GT and 24 ft draft) can't safely transit the channel, how will HAL's Eurodam manage at 935 ft/86,273 GT and 26 ft draft?

I was thinking the exact same thing.
