We were looking at May cruises when the crap hit the fan so we just booked a staycation down in Englewood for the week of 5/17. Hopefully we will be able to go.

Our PVP called yesterday so I need to do some looking around and see what we want to book when this blows over.

In the past I have done my own booking, used a travel agent and for the past few years have a PVP.

Using a PVP has gotten me the best bang for the buck IMHO.

Perhaps I'm just lucky and mine is really conscience at her job.

 She has found deals and rooms I couldn't and I consider myself pretty good at research.

I don't think they care if your wearing an Easter bunny outfit as long as your gambling.

What we did for my wife's Forteo was bring a small collapsible cooler and a small dry box from the boat and just kept ice in it.

Just ask your room Stewart to check it every day.

When I go on a cruise I strive to drink enough alcohol to kill any bugs that might try and get me.🍺

My wife likes to get pics taken on elegant night so I wear a suit and tie.

This is the only time (besides a wedding or funeral).

I have found that my PVP at carnival always gets me the best deal.

Might be that my trips are done with a casino rate discount but i don't know for sure.

What I do know is that my PVP takes very good care of us.

Dress clothes for cruise elegant. Only one set. If we use up some of it that is soiled. We send it to have it cleaned. Roatan is a beautiful Island and private tours are pretty cheap.

IMHO the beach area at the port is nothing special and you would be missing out not seeing the real Roatan.

Check the Roatan board I'm sure you will find recommendations and pictures of this amazing island.

Sorry you had to go thru that BUT I'd of been complaining in writing about the tour operator.

As a fishing boat captain I can tell you that in the conditions you described there is no way they should have left the dock.

They put your lives in danger.
