  1. And, the only time I saw in the promo where you get to choose 2 of the 3 offers was on European sailings. This is from X's website describing the promotion:

And, it's worth repeating–when you book a 2013 Europe vacation, you'll be able to choose TWO of the three offers for an even more amazing vacation value. So, if you've always dreamed of a Europe vacation, we'll make that vacation even dreamier.

That is what I thought it was but I saw someone on here post about getting both OBC and the drink package when they booked the Summit to Bermuda.

  2. Just off Summit and it looked like the same menu as posted for Silhouette. DH took lots of pics so I will post some here this weekend.

We both thought this was a much better use of the space on Summit than the piano/whiskey bar but it still needed some tweaking. The entertainment was rather "one note" (pun intended).

Other than the excellent performance by guest entertainer Doug Cameron who did a session with the X Orchestra, the entertainer every night was Andrew Halpin, a solo guitarist/vocalist. We really liked him the first night (sounded a lot like james Taylor) but he had a limited repertoire and after hearing "fly me to the Moon" 3 times, I'd had enough!! More varied entertainment would definitely bring more people into Michaels. Celebrity needs to market this venue more as a lot of people walked in amd were surprised at the concept. Even without the Elite function, it didnt open until 6 or 7 pm.

DHs only complaint was that all the beers were served in chilled glasses. They were short on staff too (which seemed to be a frequent issue in that ship) with ine bartender and sometimes a waitress. Lovely people but if it got busy, they were overwhelmed.

I agree. On our sailing we were the only patrons in there until the last night when they showed a hockey game then there were about 10 or so. People would causually stroll in throughout the night but they never stayed long. The bartender was a fantastic guy from Ireland. We really enjoyed conversating w/ him.

The music was on constant rotation. Like there was only one cd they played over and over again. But I liked all the songs so it didnt really bother me lol My husband did say a fantastic guitarist played one night, but I wasnt there. It must have been who you are talking about because my husband requested a song (I think moondance or something) and he didnt know how to play it.

None of these things affected our enjoyment of Michaels Club though. We enjoyed having the place, bartender, and beers :D all to ourselves. :)

  3. Thank you for posting the picture of Summit's Cat. 6 Plaza decks cabin #3114.:) I was so impressed that I upgraded to that cabin from a inside.:D That window is something else!:eek:I am just thrilled that I was able to book it!

Awesome! Congrats on the upgrade! I will be sure to take plenty of pictures of my Grammy's room and then post them on our return ;)

  4. Yes, those are the same big windows in that picture. These rooms had originally been meeting rooms for the Millennium class ships and the solsticization refurbishment had these converted to new oceanview cabins. The picture shown is before the refurb. when it was still a meeting room. I think your grandmom will love it.

    Great! Thanks so much :)

  5. We got off Infinity last month and had a chance to peek at the new rooms, those windows are huge! We liked it so much, we chose 3114 for our 30 day B2B in September. The future cruise manager couldn't give specifics like increased cabin size, though, she just said the window was bigger and the cabins were sparkling new. It's a nice surprise to see they are actually bigger cabins, every sq. foot helps! We also liked that the rooms are located in that secret corridor, it was very quiet there. We can't wait til September!

Awesome thanks for the info. So would you say the windows are the same size as the ones someone else attached in this thread?

I booked one of these rooms for my grandmother because I had heard they had the huge windows and were slightly bigger.:)

  6. Hi. I haven't found photos yet but am waiting for some to be posted on another thread

    http://cruiseforums.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=33385098

You may wish to monitor this as well. Someone on the thread is on the Infinity now in one of these cabins and said they wiill post info (hopefully photos) on them.

Thanks hopefully they come back and post some :)

I remember seeing ONE Summit picture and was very pleased with the HUGE porthole window; they look like great staterooms.

Now do you think I can find that ONE picture....nope, not a chance.

    JasYHZ

Ha ha ha exactly. I have been searching to no avail.

I find it so odd the Infinity has been refurbished for 8 months or so and the Summit almost 4 and we cant find one stinking picture. Geez wth people!!! :p

  7. Your not stuck with it. You could have purchased the premium package on board and then ordered any wine upt to $12.00. What they did was break the rules for you....and still you are not happy?

You also could have cancelled the beverage package and paid for each drink individually.

It is very clear all over these boards as a Classic Package person you were not entitled to anything over the $8.00 mark.. The fact that they "fixed the computer" so you could get the pinot noir simply means that you convinced them to break the rules for you....the fact that every bartender on board wasn't aware seems so trivial.

As for the water, you know darn well there is a smaller bottle available for the Classic package....... ITS JUST NOT EVIAN. You are not forced to take a quart it is a choice of a little 16 ounce bottle or a quart.

You obviously wanted the smaller Evian bottle and thought you could badger your way into getting them to break the rules for you, as they did with the pinot noir by arguing a small Evian is cheaper than a large less popular brand of water. It is not about it being "too heavy".....

You can order a small size or a large size less popular brand......

If you don't like it order the Premium Package and then you can order anything you want...or upgrade for the difference over $12.00.

Gotta agree Cheryl. Sounds like they went above and beyond to try and please them.

I actually prefer Celebrity's brand of water on the ship. The bright blue bottles (forgot the brand name)

  8. Great cabin, we had it for 14 nights on the Constellation last April, for my wife and I. We had breakfast deliver to our balcony every day.

We also hosted a party in our balcony for our CC friends, plenty of food and drink.

  9. Hello!!! I am booked on a cruise on the Millenium for the March 29th sailing! Im really excited - it will be my mother {49} myself {26} and my daughter {6 months} - we booked an FV and I just found out today that our reservation has already been assigned and we are booked in room 8181! I know that this is an aft cabin but I don't know much more.

Can anyone tell me more about this cabin? I am interested in hearing all about our cabin - we have 21 days until sail-a-way!

Yay we have the same room :) Defintely try to take some pictures if you can on your upcoming trip and post them back here. TIA :D

  10. I wonder if Celebrity really tracks the use of these coupons. There's space on the back to write your name & room number. For example, I have coupons from a prior cruise that I have not used and might want to use on a future cruise, i.e. the 2 items of free pressing, the drycleaning one, and all the casino ones???

Of course, they could find out, but do they really look?

Good thought! I think I still have mine from last cruise too lol
