I am looking for hotels fairly close proximity to the Brooklyn cruise terminal, flying in to LGA. Looking for suggestions if you have stayed there personally. Thank you

We are leaving from Brooklyn terminal on 10/7. Trying to figure out if JFK or Newark is better to fly into, or does it matter? Some of our group will want to go into Manhattan to eat / Broadway show, so also wondering best are for hotel. I know we will need transfers to / from the port. Thank you—

Can anyone tell me if there are any beaches/resorts that we can buy a day pass for a day. Ones that have chairs/umbrellas.
