  1. My wife and I have been to Belize many times on cruises. I recommend the cave tubing if you've never done it. Also the Mayan ruins are very interesting. This time we are doing the Sit & Sip pedal cruise for something different. Hope you have a great cruise.

  2. The Destiny was the 2nd ship I sailed on and my wife and I enjoyed it very much. We have been on the Sunshine 2 times. It was a good ship but my favorite is the Dream and my wife's favorite is the Magic. We have been on 22 Carnival cruises so far and are going on a B2B in september on the Dream again. I was on it already 5 times. No such thing as a bad cruise, only some are better.

  3. I've been on 22 carnival cruises so far, 5 on the Dream, 2 on the Magic and 2 on the Breeze. There is no bad cruise but I am going back on the Dream for a B2B in September. The Dream is my favorite ship and the Magic is my Wife's favorite. Go figure. Fortunately, I do most of the scheduling. I would pick the Dream over the Breeze. Between the Dream and the Magic.... depends...

  4. Well, I don't know why I'm posting since she's already made up her mind... I've been on the Dream 5 times and the Freedom 2 times. Both are great but I do love the Dream and am going on a b2b in 69 days on her for 2 more times. She's my favorite ship. But ANY cruise is better than no cruise and the Freedom is a really nice ship also.

  5. I've been on the Fascination 3 times and the Dream twice. My wife and I really enjoy the Fascination, but if I was going to have children with me I would definitely go for the Dream. Much more things for the kids and every one actually. Whatever you choose hope you have a great cruise.

  6. We've been there several times. We walk out the main shopping area, get a cab to Mahahual and get dropped off at the Tropicante. We email them before we go on the cruise. They have a table and chairs available for us and some loungers. GREAT prices for beers, good food and they will introduce you to some really smooth tequilla for a ridiculously inexpensive cost. The owner is American and he will stop by to visit with you. The beach area was really good the last time we were there but they are having a bad year for sea weed. If you are going to Costa Maya give this a chance and see what you think. Have a great cruise anyway.

  7. You can catch a free shuttle at the port that will take you to Hilo Hatties store, then just walk through the store and they have another free shuttle to downtown. You can walk to several car rentals places there.

  8. Just wanted to let you know, we did the May crossing, the waters were very smooth for us. We were worried about it. But, we did not expect how chilly it got. The first day at sea was warm and then it got chilly fast. They gave out blankets on the Serenity Deck instead of towels and even with the blankets it was no place to go.

  9. I only want the exact dollar amount that my dh & I will pay for Cheers program on a 5 day cruise out of Galveston from someone who has recently been on the Triumph. No guesses or estimations, please. Thanks in advance!

I'd recommend you call Carnival for the exact figure...

  10. We are sailing on the Glory for a western Caribbean cruise for Thanksgiving this year.

I have not seen very much information on the menus, formal nights or anything for the western itinerary. Most of the info seems to be for the eastern.

Any information that you western itinerary cruisers can provide would be appreciated. This is our first time on the Glory so any info is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

We did a B2B on the Glory at the end of Jan and the beginning of Feb. The menu was pretty good. The main difference on the menu is that each night they also have a special option based on where you are or have been. The choices were pretty good. The formal nights were the first full sea day and the Grand Cayman day. We did the Salsa, Salsa & Margarita excursion this time at Cozumel but normally we head to the Money Bar. It's a pay as you go bar, good food and drinks and their prices are good. They have loungers on the beach and if you want massages or anything you can pay for them. Bring water shoes as the beach has some rocks but the water is nice there. We've been to Belize many times and really enjoy cave tubing and the ruins but this time we just did some shopping and then back on the ship to relax. At Roatan we enjoyed a beach day. At Cayman we will often go snorkeling at Eden Rock which is a short walk from the pier and not badly priced but this time we just went to the Royal Palms, sat on the beach for a bit and then went in and had a drink and snack and used the pool there. Mainly we were just taking it easy this time. The ship was lots of fun and the CD was Dr. E (Everson) and he is fantastic. Hope you enjoy your cruise as much as we enjoyed ours.

  11. I drink my coffee black. I started drinking it in the military, so I know what some nasty, strong coffee tastes like. I prefer a medium roast. I find their coffee to be an average flavor. It's not the best I've ever had but.... it is FAR from the worst. I think that nowadays many people get used to the brand of coffee and just don't want to accept anything else. My opinion though. Hope all goes well for you on your cruise.

  12. They don't carry my brand of bourbon either but I don't sail for the bourbon... I will suffer though another bourbon and other drinks... I just love to cruise. If you go on the other lines just for the Captain Morgan ... it will cost a lot more. And the bacardi you are talking about is aged in a bourbon barrel I think... I've got a bottel of it at home and you are correct, it doesn't taste anything like Morgan, but I sure wouldn't turn my poor nose up at it. Just enjoy the cruise... happy sailing.
