  1. My friends are going on there first cruise in 2 weeks. They have guardianship of a 13 yo girl. They have all the papers for that and a notorized paper saying its ok to leave the country. Here is the dilemma. They applied for a passport 2 weeks ago and had it returned for more info. They resubmitted and now the wait.

The girls last name on the BC is different than her now last name. They have an embossed birth certificate and the court papers for the name change. In your opinion if her passport doesnt arrive will she be allowed to board ship? Thank you in advance.

  2. We stayed in 10290 on the Breeze last April on a B2B and loved the location. We never had any issue with noise with one exception, the door that leads back to pool area was used one night by a ton of kids running the halls and it slammed non stop for an hour or so. It didnt bother us enough, we booked exact room for this April on her.

  3. Mr Sanchos and Nachi Cocum are adjacent to each other and Playa Mia is just a bit further down the same stretch of beach. Since you said the food was only average at Playa Mia, why not try one of the other two? Same sand & water. Mr Sancho's caters to families with kids, and Nachi is adults only. I had camarones aliole, shrimp grilled in garlic last time at Nachi, it was excellent.

Another beach in the opposite direction but still on the same coast is Paradise Island. You can reach that by speedboat or catamaran, and they serve a lunch of chicken and ribs with rice.

We did Nachi last year and there were kids. My daughter, 2 nieces and 3 nephews. As well as other kids.

  4. We have always used them in the past, but this April they will not pick us up at the port of Miami and take us to a hotel in Ft Lauderdale. They have in the past, but no more. Really dissappointed with this. Never had a complaint with them.

  5. No pictures, sorry. We were in a smallish bus, there were 14 people on the bus. The bus holds about 18, so I don't think you have to worry about him cancelling. The bus is nice, clean, and airconditioned.

The tour was supposed to be 3 hours but we went for about 4 hours. He gives you the option of being dropped off at the beach, downtown or at the cruise terminal.

I booked Sonny several months ago and did reconfirm at the beginning of October that we were still "on." He did respond quickly, stating "so far, it looks good." I know he said that gas is about $6/gallon in Aruba, so he probably has to have acertain amount of people to make money.

We've done several independent excursions, and I can say that Sonny's is among the best. And only $30 ~ a bargain!

Thanks for the feedback. We only have 5 confirmed so far in our group. I hope we can get some more before too long. Im curios if we will be cancelled.

  6. Just wondering what to expect? We are sailing on the Conquest out of the Port of Miami in 44 days. Staying at a local hotel, and taking a taxi to the port. My husband and I are traveling carryon only, will we be able to take our bags directly to our room ourselves, or do we have to leave the carryon bags at the check in? Is there a specific area designated for the Conquest? Will our cab driver know where he is supposed to drop us off?

We stay at the Holiday Inn - Port of Miami and take a $10 taxi ride to the port. Its a flat rate from airport to downtown hotels with a taxi.
