    Hello Sami

If you have been handed the same type of letter as I have, as long as you have a cruise already booked that sails before the stated date in the letter, you don't have to do anything other than present the letter at the casino cashier's desk when on board.

If you haven't, but are trying to make a booking, again, you don't have to do anything extra until you are on board.

The 0345 number on the letter merely puts you through to P & O customer services, so you must have been unlucky with the rep you connected with who should have explained this.

If your circumstances are different from my suppositions, let me know and I'll try to offer further assistance

  2. Hi there, recently been on Ventura and got given a casino offer by the host saying that if I book another P&O cruise by a certain date I will get some free play money to spend in the casino. Has anyone got experience with booking this offer? I called the number on the certificate and the P&O rep said they have nothing to do with the casino and they cant book their offer, then he gave me a web address for the carnival USA players club and hung up on me, why would the letter say to call P&O to book if they cant do it?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Sami.

I am looking to book a Royal Caribbean cruise for December 2021 and not sure about purchasing the Refundable Deposit. To me the Cruise with Confidence policy states as long as you cancel a cruise 48 hours before sailing you will get a 100% credit refund including the deposit. Is that correct? I am a bit confused because why are they still charging for a Refundable Deposit if it is already covered by this new policy?

We asked about this when we were offered a much lower cost for booking non refundable way, we are told cruise with confidence does cover you to recieve the non refundable part as a FCC.

Casino Royale has been very generous in extending our Prime benefits and our annual free cruise into 2022. I appreciate that.

Did they extend your annual Prime free cruise? i phoned today to try and re arrange my cancelled free annual cruise and was told i still had to sail before March 31st?? When i queried that saying i had read it had been extended they said no it definitely hadn't been extended.

I have chronic hip pain as a result of several surgeries and can only sleep on a soft mattress. Are the beds on Freedom of the Seas comfortable?

The beds are firm, if the comforter style toppers aren't thick enough to soften the mattress then ask for a bunk bed mattress, they are slightly slimmer than the bed but much softer, I tried the topper route and was nearly in tears from not sleeping for 4 days and having them just put what is basically a couple of duvet's on my mattress, since ive been asking for the mattress its been much better.

  6. I think that is (or was) the standard means of distribution as I have experienced that process on several ships. It definitely pays to check with the host on the last night so that any points earned the last day and evening are included. Also, be sure to have your play comps either issued as a credit on your Sea pass account or issued in free slot play vouchers. I had nearly 100 credited towards my Sea Pass account.
We've received our vouchers as early as 2 nites before we disembark, we have learnt now to go see the host and double check on the last nite if we've qualified for a better cert, twice now they've switched them out for better ones.

  7. We found the casino similar . People would be in the smoking section and move over to a slot on the non smoking section but keep smoking, staff just walked past them. I found being loud and woo hoo ing a lot when I won soon moved them on, one smoking lady complained to me that I was too noisy and I just told her I was thinking of the lawsuit I could hit her with for smoking in the non smoking section next to someone who was asthmatic, she near enough ran away and stayed clear of the non smoking section while I was there lol. The waiter Jonny was behind me laughing his head off.

  8. I've had a few and tbh they have been nice but not really worth the "triple what I pay at home" cost. The hard sell is also a pain. I took my niece for a "mother daughter" special they were doing onboard and while I was getting dressed they gave her the hard sell! She was 14 at the time!!!!! When I said that was ridiculous as she was a child the staff member just shrugged and said if we buy today and return it the next day she gets commission for the sale so it's an easy way for her to up her money as people were being tight with extra tips on the last cruise. Needless to say I said an emphatic no sale and left. Complained at guest services and they just nodded and said yes that happens a lot onboard you just have to be firm and say no next time. I was speechless, just walked away saying not gonna be a next time.

  9. I have pre paid my gratuity's and my question is, when I buy a beer from the bar how much do I pay?(Independence OTS)
The pre paid grats are just for the stateroom and dining teams. If you don't have a beverage package then you'll pay the cost of the beer ($6ish I think not certain though it's been a while since I bought one) plus 18% gratuity for the bar staff. It will be charged to tour seapass account and charged to your credit card at the end of the cruise. Keep the receipts the barman give you and check them off against your account every few days.

  10. Where do you end up going if not to Coco Cay. We have one booked for April next year that leaves out of Miami. Obviously they wouldn't be using Miami as a replacement.
We've never had it replaced, it's always been a last minute cancellation as we were headed there due to not being able to use the tenders. We had the port fee put back on our account and had an extra sea day. Fingers crossed when the dock has been built there will be no more cancellations. Its just a pity they can't seem to work out how long the dock is gonna take to complete.

  11. There is someone on this forum (cant remember exactly who) that is like 0 for 4 when it comes to Coco Cay. Ive never saw them complain or call it deceptive advertising though. Im 1 for 2. Honestly, since Ive "been there and done that" I would rather go to Miami. Ive never been there before.
We beat you lol, we've booked 7 cruises that should stop at cococay and have NEVER been [emoji39] it's on one of ours for next year and maybe the dock will be finished by then lol.

  12. I was just told by a rep, that if both you and your partner have the same tier, that you can put them together to get the next level room. Specifically, she said that since we are both primes, we can use the 18tier3 offer together and get a free ocean view (instead of individual inside staterooms).

    Can anyone confirm this?

    Thanks

Yes it's correct, mum and I (finally) managed to book our prime level freebie, we combined our freebies same as we do the casino certs and got an ocean view, then upgraded to balcony for a little bit more.

  13. I got official word from the casino. Mail and email offers are only sent to US residents. :(

“Thank you for contacting Royal Caribbean’s Club Royale! We are unable to send casino marketing to any guest that does not live in the United States. This is due to other country have versus different marking laws. We can still look into see what offers you would qualify for. Please give us a call and we can look into that for you. We apologize for any issue this may cause.

If we can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us toll-free at 1 888-561-2234. Our hours are, 8:00am to 10:00pm, Monday through Friday, and 9:00am to 5:30pm, Saturday and Sunday (Eastern Standard Time). “

"Marketing laws" don't stop all the hotels I've ever stayed in stateside from sensing me offers, or all the travel agencies or all the casinos sending me offers so I don't see how they can blame that. Surely all they'd have to do is get us to send them authorisation to email us?

  14. How come some players are rated Prime based on last year, but they can't get a free cruise?

Because it's royal Caribbean and if their system worked the way it's supposed to we would all keel over from shock lol. [emoji48][emoji48] I'm one of the people who can't get a cruise so far but rccl's best supervisors are looking into it for me [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] hopefully I'll receive an answer before time runs out to book it lol.

  15. Well I phoned the casino line to try and book my free "prime" cruise. Only to be told yes I'm prime but for some reason I don't get anything. Do I want to book anyway?? "No I want you to contact a supervisor and find out where my free stuff is, others get it so why not me" oh yeah I could do that for you. So now I'm awaiting a call or email from the higher ups lol. Really wish they'd get their systems sorted.

  16. I'm from Canada, but I have been told that anyone outside of the US, does not receive offers or emails from the Casino, unless you have a US address on file :( I have been waiting for my verification.
That's what I was told originally, then in May was told with the new scheme roll out everyone will receive emails but only US addresses will receive snail mail. I don't get how the company can spam me with an email every other day about cruises I've shown no interest in but can't send me an email with real information. I get emails from US land casinos every day even though I only visit them once a year but the rccl ships which I spend months sailing on every year can't be bothered.[emoji35] [emoji35]

  17. Hi - hoping someone has the patience to point me to a couple of things. I have been CR now for a couple of years, yet I have never received any emails, information on "status", comped cruises or internet. I've received and cashed in a cruise cert before, but really only hear from or receive anything from CR when I call in. Are there web sites or email addresses I can use? Appreciate any info or suggestions!
We've never recieved any emails or offers without phoning in either. We was told it was because we were international guests, if you are American then phone C&A and Casino line to check your email and details are correct.
