Yes.  I've had good casino hits on cruises and paid my bill in cash before leaving. Nice!

I sailed once on MSC, Divina in 2017, because I was invited as a guest of a friend who was offered it through UR Comped.

The ship was very pretty but crew were less than friendly.  Lots of European cruisers (met some fun people)

Food was OK and I didn't starve.  The few shows I saw were very good and I had a few good hits in the casino.

Overall, it was OK. I'd go again but wouldn't be in a rush to do it. Perhaps I'd be more inclined if it was another offer as a comp.

I did like that they matched your status for your first time  from another line so I was able to use my RCL Diamond Plus and got some nice perks for that.

Booked for 2 weeks on Legend, January 8th.  I'll throw a hoodie in the suitcase (LOL)

Sailed on winter cruises from Baltimore on Pride and it was never "freezing."

Oh well...Hot drinks with a shot or two will ease the pain!

It's like anything else.

You never know till you give it a try!

Those so called all inclusive cruises are anything but.  You are definitely paying for your drinks and the other stuff they offer.  They are merely inflating your cruise fare.

If it's paid for, I'd just do it and analyze it later.

I've had a good time on cruises doing absolutely nothing.

I was only on one Celebrity cruise in 1996 that was a NJ PBA Charter cruise with 1000 partying cops!  We went to St.Maarten only for 4 out of 7 days.  It was before the dock was there so we had to tender to shore every day.  

I went as our PBA rep and had a great time. (Celebrity Century)

Formal nights were truly formal with gowns and tuxes and the food was wonderful.

It was also the only cruise I was ever on where the ship ran out of beer on the way home but we survived (LOL)

I'd definitely do Celebrity again!

The first time I sailed Carnival from NYC it was $49 and I had no clue what it was about. Had sailed other lines prior and you got on when you got on.. Never bought it.  Was on the ship in about 10 minutes in a blizzard.

I still think it's a waste of money but hey, if it floats your boat, go for it!

Currently Platinum and still have never waited more than 10 minutes to board.

My Carnival sailings have been NYC (8X) and Baltimore (7X).  All easy.

Yes, it's listed on my 1/8 Legend cruise and confusing as it looks like the first night but it says "you will be contacted regarding the night."  It's a 14 day cruise so my guess is that it will be the Tuesday of the 2nd week (past experience.  I know it's never on an elegant night

I've always preferred MDR.

With the exception of grabbing a deli sandwich or Guy's Burger at some point, I never eat at the buffet for any meal.

My favorite time is November through March,/April excluding holiday weeks. To get away from the cold.

I don't cruise in summer since I live at the beach and kids are out of school so cruises are crowded.

On my first Carnival cruise I didn't buy Cheers since I'd never really looked into it before I went and was used to pay as you go on other lines.

At the end of the 8 days I tallied up what I spent on alcohol and would have saved $150 if I'd bought Cheers.  Coor's Light only for the duration of the cruise.  Never had a specialty coffee, soda or water etc.  I drank the same each day whether it was a sea day or port day.

Went on the same ship 4 weeks later and bought Cheers and got it every cruise afterwards until I started getting casino offers of DOU anywhere onboard.

I would miss a fridge but the last thing I want on a cruise is a bathtub!

The game room on Deck 2 had very little to pick from.  A few board games and some well worn books.

  A lot of people brought their own entertainment:  cards, Scrabble etc.

I only bought Cruise Bar Cash once a few years ago when I had DOU in casino only and wanted to prepay mostly everything.  On the last night I still had $50 left and knew it was non refundable so I used it as a tip for my casino bartender.

WICO is Havensight. 

 I've never heard it called WICO before.

My friends that live in STT/St. John only know it as Havensight as well.

These cabins are my new favorite.

I was in 4141 and the view was great but 4101 was totally blocked.  Both were on Pride.

Look for the little slivers between the lifeboats on the deck plans.  The bigger the sliver, the better the view!

The Breeze is scheduled for December 1st for Christmas decorations.

There is a list "somewhere."

Been going to both for over 50 years (before cruising)  so I'll say

that either one is OK for me.

Nice hotels, restaurants and beaches and plenty to do in either port.

My Steakhouse dinner is almost always a casino comp so I tip in cash.

How much depends on the service. 

Just got casino offers for winter 2024 that include Venezia from NYC.  Interested!

Have to book before January 5, 2023.

Whenever I've sailed from Baltimore on Carnival the casino was always open before the first MDR seating as long as the ship left at the scheduled time.

And I was right there when it opened!!!

Excited to see winter sailings from NYC again.  Looking at January-March 2024, 12 day, 9 day and another 12 day, 9 day.  42 day total.

Afraid to go for it all because I don't know the ship.

Perhaps a trial run is in order.  LOL

Nice to see a different ship in NYC and it's one of my favorite ports to leave from.

Just wish any ship sailed from NYC in winter.  Miss those days!
