  1. We have a group of 10 that are disembarking in Seward on September 23, 2024 and are planning on spending a week on land. We are planning to make our homebase in Fairbanks but do want to spend time in Denali so we could stop there on our way to Fairbanks. It looks like the train stops running the week before we disembark and we are running into problems finding transportation. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  2. We will be in port on February 2, 2024 arriving on the Sky. Was looking to rent a golf cart but looks like we tried to book to late. How far is the walk to town if we just want to wander the stores and  maybe grab a bite to eat? Also is it a safe area? Thanks for any info

So kind 😊 It was fairly cloudy the first part of the day, so the pictures from atop the mountain are not nearly as stunning as the actual view.20231203_130414.thumb.jpg.3bed3825f483d8af7579937a47fed7e7.jpg

Due to lack of sunshine, the blue and green colors were not visible in the lake.

Living near Ft Worth, I know Cowtown - this is not the same, lol.

This was my favorite port on our transatlantic back in 2019!

We rented a golf cart and toured around.  For us, that was nice, but also will be a once and done.  There are some beautiful views to be seen, but you will also see a lot of local life as well.  Lots of donkeys!  The beaches are beautiful though.

I personally would at least get off and walk over to the area right off the ship with the shops and such.  and see the ship from that view, it's nice!

    Thank you

We are booked for the Sept 16th cruise and don't have a room assignment.  Our cruise is paid in full.

We are also booked for Sept. 16th out of Tampa. We upgraded from a interior to balcony guarantee a couple weeks ago and are awaiting our room assignment. I thought it was strange that on our new paperwork now just says guarantee not balcony guarantee. I called and they said ok n their computer it shows the code for balcony.

    That is really cool.

Not sure where you flew from, but I’d guess anything at over a couple hour flight was effectively at least $300 per person out of that total.  Maybe more.  Still, even 2200-2400, that price is more than todays cruises on some of the newer ships.  And that right there is why the food isn’t as good as it used to.

We flew out of Philly on Eastern Airlines. The tickets were in there also. Yes I told my husband you went all out for this trip a inside cabin was more then than it is now LOL

I was going through some old boxes and found this 40 year old Royal Caribbean brochure.

I came across our honeymoon reservation packet that. Song of America March 3, 1985. It had the mini menus for each night of our 7 night cruise and also a directory that had all guests names where they were from. We had an inside cabin and flight and it was over 3,000 for the 2 of us

Yes, lots of all inclusive on the island, pools, food and shade! Only pay for water park, upscale resort area, some loungers with umbrellas, day beds, snorkel equipment, balloon ride, etc. Ship drink packages can also be used at bars on the island. You can enjoy the island all day without paying a dime, if you so choose! Cheers!

I saw on the map that there is a childrens splash park and a pirate ship is that free or in the waterpark area? We have 2 small children and the cost of the water park seems high since they are not 40 inches tall for the slides

I only remember a seating area for suites.  There was a line for Platinum and above separate from the main boarding line.  I have sailed out of Tampa 3 times and didn't enjoy the boarding experience at all, even when we were in a suite.

    Thank you

Close enough to touch on the Coral Princess? We were on a ship a quarter of the size and never got close enough to touch unless we were on land or in a Zodiac. Do you mean in South America?

Bella0714 Do you cruise alot? If so have you cruised on different lines? Reason I am asking is I have cruised on Royal Caribbean, Holland America, Carnival, NCL  but not princess and was wondering how Princess would compare? I am looking at cruises to Antartica and  Princess was one I am considering. Just worried since I know nothing about Princess.
