We are in an S2 for Silhouette 3/15/19. Got offers for Penthouse, Royal and Celebrity. At 48 hours we were notified that none of our bids were excepted.

Agree!
Embassy suites, excellent hotel, close. Breakfast, pool, and close to port. Just do taxis or uber, do not use hotel transportation, too slow and cumbersome.

We agree with lunch in Luminae on boarding day. We will be there, too. Very convenient and you don't have to fight the masses.

Hi Bluedog, I actually didn't book a corner aft, the one that was available had really bad reviews... ( the window equipment is parked there) ended up with an S1 on the hump... we've never been in a suite (even a baby suite like the sky suites) so I'm feeling quite chuffed about it 🙂
Hi! We personally don't find the window washing rig an issue. Our first butler was very under-used. He made sure we had plenty of water bottles and brought us breakfast in the cabin most days because we were in the Med and had early tour times. We have slowly been using them more. Not just the sail away from one of the islands for some CC friends, but magic dinner reservations, cleaning, afternoon tea, drinks while relaxing on the balcony, etc.
I'm confidant you'll learn really fast!

Corner Aft cabins are amazing. Quiet, and incredible view. Some soot, but if you call they clean immediately. Our butler even catered us a sail away party with food and drinks. Luminea is nice and you can still go to Blu if you want. They will try to talk you out of it but... Enjoy the corner!

Ship - Anthem of the Seas
Deck - 13
Stateroom # - 634
Stateroom Category – Superior Grand Suite
Starboard or Port Side - Starboard
Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Chair noise from Johnny Rockets above, but on non-smoking side of the ship, so no smoke from pool deck.
Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - Can be connected to SJ beside.
Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Wrap around balcony at front of bubble. Spectacular views of forward and aft. Lots of room.
Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Oversize wrap around balcony
Was wind a problem? - On sea days windy, but has a wind screen that can be shut which makes a big difference.
If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - Midship
Any specific problems with this cabin? - Coffee table is in the way, some couples had theirs removed.
Any other comments? - Difference from regular Grand Suite is front of bubble with wrap around deck. Love the view and extra room for outdoor dining and full size lounge chairs.

Our Honeymoon 5/19/91. We were originally booked on Monarch of the Seas cruise #3, but bumped to Song of Norway because of fire during sea trials. Had Ken Rush as our Cruise Director. Over half of the ship was honeymoon couples and got us hooked on cruising forever. Definitely a classic ship. Loved climbing up the outside stairs to the Viking Crown lounge.

BALCONY VIEW: Aft with starboard views from balcony and large porthole
BALCONY SIZE: Large
WIND A PROBLEM?:Never

Ship - QUANTUM OF THE SEAS
Deck - 11
Stateroom # - 11236
Stateroom Category – SPA JUNIOR SUITE
Starboard or Port Side - PORT HUMP CENTER
Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Stateroom was quite. A lot of hall traffic outside door going to elevators.
Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - NO
Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Center bubble balcony great view.
Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Large balcony, two lounge chairs. Small table.
Was wind a problem? - NO
If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A
Any specific problems with this cabin? - NO
Any other comments? - Spa Junior has two half bathrooms splitting the entry. On the one side is the tub/shower/sink. The shower is large and has a seat. The other side is sink/toilet. Large desk and closet. No problems for space. Would go further away from elevator lobby to avoid the extra foot traffic.

We did a taxi island tour and while we paid a high price, we felt it well worth it. We had a delightful driver/guide, a very comfortable, clean vehicle and he took us all over for about 1 1/2 hours which is exactly what we asked of him. We connected with him near the tender dock. When we got off the tender we walked off on our own for a while and then returned to that area to hire a car and driver. Like always, settle the price in advance of getting in the vehicle.
Thank you!

Thanks again for the info. We've been most places in the Caribbean just trying to do something different.

We are planning to visit in two weeks with Celebrity, but from our stop in St Maarten. The line gets you there and picks you up. I think this will be better people wise because there won't be too many of us. They call it "St Barth's On Your Own".
You've got the best info I've found here. Do you know if the taxis will do "island tours"? or how to contact them? I saw someone said you needed to reserve a taxi beforehand.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
