  1. Thanks for the replies. Looks like they've recognised everything from the changeover when The P & O loyalty scheme became Peninsular up until end of 2018, Ive got a cruise on Britannia in the Caribbean showing on the Captains Circle account thats from Christmas 2018.

    Sorry if this has been asked before...New to Princess

    I've booked us onto a princess cruise for the first time and they've transferred over loyalty point from the P & O cruises weve done previously. Is there a reason why they missed all of the nights we sailed before the current P & O scheme changed names? They missed off 42 nights from when the P & O programme was called Portunis. On top of this theyve missed off the whole of 2019 that we did on P & O. They also havent added the last P & O staycation we did a week ago but I guess that could be put down to just not being updated yet.

     

    Can someone throw some light?

    We only know that someone tested positive on the ship because it was my sisters next door neighbour! He tested negative at the terminal, developed a persistent  headache a day or so later then on the last day flu like symptoms. He had a second test on the ship which was positive.They quarantined him and his wife then he was let off the ship after all the other passengers had left. I would hope that they were able to trace and test any crew they interacted with. I wonder if they also trace any passengers they were near during their time onboard.

Also there was a lady talking about Pirates, I didn't go but I heard she was good.  They were taking walk ins for the talks. You give your cabin number and they login you in on their tablet so they can monitor numbers.

    Just wondering if anyone who's been on one of the Britannia cruises already knows who the guest presenters are onboard? Also has anyone managed to book one of the talks through the P & O website? I've tried to book one but just get timed out on that section, its not letting me see who's on or book anything even though Ive booked the Theatre shows and Live Lounge etc. Anyone have any info?

    Not so much the "Ultimate" drinks package then eh...

    We found the 15 drinks limit wasn’t enforced at all. Our last cruise pre pandemic there was 6 of us and very often in the glasshouse the waiter swiped all 6 drinks through on a single card, I had 3 or 4 rounds swiped on my card within a couple hours in the glasshouse on more that 1 night, that’s over the limit straight away. The waiter told us there’s no way for them to see what you’ve had. They basically don’t care and just charged every order to 1 card to save time

    Yes I managed to print the e-tickets and luggage labels after i’d entered all the passport details etc but couldn’t get the boarding passes until I managed to added them card details. Maybe log back in and double check that you’ve added all the info they want or perhaps delete a postcode or something and save it then log off and log back in and add it back so it forces their system to recheck ?  Perhaps that’s worth a try?

  8. Hi All,

     

    Just a quick post to say Ive finally managed to complete my online check in. The card details were accepted this morning. Something on the system their side has been changed, I filled in the form with the details and clicked through but rather than bounce me to the verified by visa screen it almost instantly popped up a details accepted message with no need for the verified by visa part. As soon as the card was added(I'd already added the photos etc) I was able to download the PDF boarding pass ready to print 🙂

    I don’t think the Peller Ice Cuvee will be under £6.95 It was £6.95 for 125ml last time we were onboard:(

It seems to authentic the card as i get a text to my phone with a code but the get a technical failure error. Anyone yet managed to complete the process and get the boarding card. 

    Thats exactly what was happening for me, Ive still not done it

    The checking in system on P&O website is so slow it’s painful! 

     

    Their IT is pitifull 👎 I still havent added my card details, our cabin number was sent to me in an email last week but its not showing in the personaliser(or whatever they call it now) 🤷‍♂️

     

    Ive had another email this morning for them with a list of what needs to be done before embarkation

  12. Hi All,

     

    Is anyone else having trouble with the online check in process? Ive uploaded our photos and completed the details all ok but its bouncing me out with a try again in a few minutes message pop up every time I try to add the payment card details. It'll be a miracle if the new "app" works onboard the ship, their IT is a right shambles 😞
