  1. We were on this cruise last year and had a great time.  I think the top sea day activity was on the last day where they did a cooking demonstration with one of the head chefs and the Restaurant Manager.  This also had a tour of one of the galleys afterwards.  We learned quite a bit about their operations and they make it fun with the demonstration. Puppies in the Piazza was also a big hit but that usually happens at the Skagway port.

We did all the naturalist talks and special guests they brought on board.  We also enjoyed all the production shows and guest singers.  We also attended alot of the evening "game shows" and had fun with these.

  2. We stayed in the Auberge Vancouver Hotel before and after our cruise this summer.  It is a block away from Canada Place and easy to get to.  We found their rates much lower than nearby hotels when we booked them.    We had a great stay and would use them again in the future.

  3. We were on a ship last Christmas and had a great time.  On Christmas Eve, they had a special "Holiday Story Time" where I think they read/acted some of the Grinch story and handed out jingle bells and santa hats.  They also had a Christmas Eve religious service that night before the dining rooms opened and then later they had a Christmas Carol sing a long on the Lido deck.  There was a Christmas Sweater contest at one point before Christmas as well.  On Christmas day we were in port but alot of the music you could hear was Christmas carols.  There was a special menu for dinner that night but they still had the "normal" items as well.

  4. We were on the Sunrise this past Christmas and had a blast.  On Christmas Eve, they had a special story time with the Grinch making an appearance.  There was also a Christmas Eve religious service.  They gave out Christmas hats and jingle bells that you could hear people all over the ship shaking them.  That night, there was a Christmas carol sing-a-long on the Lido deck.  We also saw lots of people wandering around in matching pajamas at night as well.

Christmas Day we were in port but it seemed more relaxed than normal.  We gave some of the staff Christmas cards with some candy and money in them.  The dinner that night had some special items that were added to the menu along with the normal offerings.

  5. We just got off the Sunrise (Christmas cruise) and compliance was pretty good from what I noticed.  I think we were one of the first cruises where it was required to wear a mask while indoors.  Everyone we saw in the hallways had a mask on unless crossing the hallway to go to a family members room.  They had people at the doors of the Lido area to hand out masks as needed.

The shows in the Limelight lounge had really good compliance as well.  People would do the Sip and Cover during the comedy/magic shows that we saw.

The Liquid Lounge had good compliance too.  There might be one or two people that we would notice that would stretch getting a drink, but they were few and far between.

While they need to turn the temperature down in some of the common areas when you have to wear a mask, overall it wasn't too bad and people were doing what they were supposed to.

Totally agree.   AND, those annoying "local operators" selling chairs and umbrellas closest to the shore.  For anyone going there, the green GTCC umbrellas and chairs are FREE.

The local operators weren't out when we were there.  There were only blue chairs and no umbrella's on the beaches closest to the pier.  From what we saw, all the blue chairs were fair game and people were moving them closer to the water if they wanted.
