  1. It is said “ We board as passengers and off load as cargo”.
  2. Sitting in our creaking from the rocking cabin this morning awaiting another lunch. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment, I was planning on waffles smothered in butter and maple syrup. But it was not to be. They had run out of maple syrup yesterday. They run out of pineapple yogurt a few days ago. They are almost out of Perrier. One main elevator stopped working several days ago. There is J&B scotch in 2 places, the Dolce and our cabin.
  3. Latest covid update. Today 2 pax and 3 crew. Yesterday 1 pax and 2 crew. Don’t forget this is the ship that had some infections in January in S America and hit a whale near Chile.
  4. Today I sat next to a superwoman. She could talk, eat , swallow, breathe, and not stop for the twenty five minutes we were near there. All stored in a large frame from a large well known city on the US east coast north of the Mason-Dixon Line. Also this is the first time ever I saw the F& B manager remove dirty dishes in the Alantide. Had HH cocktails with M&M’s to toast their anniversary. At least one couple from sailing Carnival didn’t like it here because of the dress code so they are going back. Looks like there are a lot of those here. There must have been a fire sale on fares here.
  5. Having gone through Heathrow P/P control last 5/18/22 the lines were amazingly short. Observed many people going through the e gates. US global entry is eligible to use, so said our processor. How ever the best way is the wheelchair way, so he said.
  6. ZQT chiming in. After a timely travel recovery -we slept in til 10A today. Last night being formal night, we started off happy hour with the wise famous Mysty and Myster. Alas the bar had no J&B and had to send out for some. Almost had to get mine from the cabin. After which we dined sans M & M in the Alantide. We were seated next to the dance floor for dance music night. Coats and ties were being enforced. Service was a little slow even the manager was delivering food. In the many days and years of sailing SS this is the first time I have seen the entertainers ( including the CD ) showing people to their tables with the table number written on a little slip of paper. All ended well after all.
  7. Has anybody tried this? It said on the Heathrow that it is usable, if I read it right.
