Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I just tried to get a 2 device premium Wi-Fi offer for the March sale and couldn’t get just one, everyone in the room had to buy? Anyway around this.
  2. Thank you Everyone, after discussing this with DW, she agrees that to really experience Venice we need to be in Venice not constantly going back and forth. So the search continues, finding a hotel in my budget, that is very close to a airport water bus stop (DW does not pack light LOL), and is rated highly. Wish me luck !!
  3. Good Afternoon All, For our October 7 cruise leaving out of Chioggia, I was thinking of staying in Mestre two day early and exploring Venice from there. it seems to me it would be easier to catch a cab or bus to Chioggia from there and not have to lug luggage through Venice, trying to find a way to get to Chioggia that doesn't involve multiple water buses or a very expensive private water taxi. Anyone stayed in Mestre, what was your experience getting to and from Venice proper? I am a Marriott member and can get a very good deal on the 4 points which is rated very highly.
  4. hey Everybody, After a lot of consideration and great help from this thread we decided to go with Suite 8063 on our cruise. It is more aft which seems to be less noisy and away from the elevators and stairs. I also considered the fact that there were no inner rooms near this suite so possibly less noise from doors and people in the hallways. But I am curious, I went with a bath suite as DW loves soaking in a tub, but the opinion here seems to be the shower suites are better, why?
  5. Good Afternoon All, We are booking the Croatia Intensive, sailing on the Pursuit in October. Our TA got us a great deal on a Club Continent suite, but as as I was checking out availability I noticed they are all on Deck 8 , below the pool deck. Has anyone had experience with these, how is the noise level into the room? Thanks,
  6. Thank you Jazzbeau for the great review, perfect timing for my decision!!
  7. Thank you so much everyone. I just realized I had a senior moment and the Whisper and Moon Croatia intensives are for 2024. The only choice in our budget is the Spirit (still a great ship from what I can see) But dates are 8/2 and 8/9. All my research shows Croatia in August is going to be HOT and CROWDED. Do you agree? Now I'm thinking the Azamara Pursuit in early October, Crowds should be thinner and the temps look very reasonable (compared to Vermont anyways LOL)
  8. Good Afternoon All, I realize that this question is VERY subjective but I value the opinions CC members. We are not frequent cruisers but we have decided to do a couple upcoming, (one in 2023 and one in 2024). The 2024 is decided as we are traveling with relatives so we will be doing Celebrity Infinity, Athens to Athens . But for 2023 dear wife really wants to do a Croatia intensive, there is an Azamara cruise in October that fits our budget and having sailed with them on a Spain intensive we really like the line. That said our travel agent has suggested we look at Silversea, which is only a bit more expensive (Vista class suite) and includes tour excursions. My question to you is which ship, we actually have a choice of three, Moon, Whisper and Spirit. Any differences or all three basically the same? Also, anyone have experience booking vista suite and getting upgraded to balcony?Thank you !!
