  1. I'm sorry - during something like that, unless you can truly help (doctor, etc), he should have definitely left the area.

On one cruise we were all gathered in the atrium waiting for the balloon drop. Suddenly a passenger fell to the ground and once we saw he had assistance DH and I quickly left. Later we were told he had suffered a heart attack and thankfully survived. Tragedies are not shows.

  2. I received the survey this morning and selected the strongest "KEEP FORMAL NIGHT" option for each question. Why? If you don't like formal night there a lot of options for you. If you want a formal night, you are limited...unless you don't mind having pizza while sitting next to a guy wearing a tank top...the same tank top he wore to breakfast...yesterday:)

I also voted in favor of keeping formal nights. I do not participate in them but I do feel they are a part of cruising. As you said, there are a lot of options for us. The only thing I have a problem with is some people feel that you should dress nice to enjoy the shows on formal nights. I strongly disagree.

  3. Greetings, I am looking to book my very first Princess Cruise in the next few days. Can someone tell me the details on how the Princess referral benefit is done? Can it be combined with other promotions?

Is there someone here who can refer me and my traveling companion?

    Happy sails to all,

    Caribbeing

    Caribbeing,

Congrats! Watch out, they are very addicting!

Referrals--you will receive $ 25 OBC (combinable) for your cruise and the person who refers you will receive a $ 25 OBC on the cruise that happens after you have completed your cruise. Hope that makes sense :)

    Enjoy!

  4. Hi,

I am new to Princess and I was wondering if you can wear shorts to Horizon Court buffet or Alfredo's in the evening. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can wear shorts to either venue in the evenings.

  5. Is this for new bookings only? I have free grats and specialty dinner right now. I guess I'll have to see how much OBC is offered for a BB cat balcony. I have OBC (incl FCC) from my TA. What's the new gratuities? 12.95 a day?

Effective on voyages departing on or after January 1, 2016, the gratuity charge will be $13.95 per guest for mini-suites and suites, and $12.95 per guest for interior, oceanview, and balcony staterooms.

  6. You can also get really tasty hot chocolate (they will add whipped cream, cinnamon, etc) and on Regal/Royal and a couple of other ships you can get Gelato.

In addition to Gelato you can also get Sundaes, Banana Splits and on sea days, crepes (my favorite). One punch for each on Royal/Regal.
