Lots of bars walking distance, the drinking age is 18 so shouldn't be a problem

At the Waterford terrace there is Grill King,Scampis,Perla del Mar,all waterfront and nice,easy walk over the pontoon bridge and to the right.

The Renaissance is right there in town,so walkable.At night the are bars and restaurants In The same vicinity.

Walk over the pontoon bridge and go to your right,there are a couple of other restaurants in the same spot.

Plasa Bieu is great, awesome fish filets and pumpkin pancakes. I haven't seen conch on the island. Gouda cheese is the best

The Grill King is great,extensive menu

Those areas are the main town

I'm sure the emergency is taken care of by now.

We found a lot at West bay beach

Is there shopping on the way to sunset house?

Not too far past My bar is a local shop called Pure Art

Some of the waterfront vendors make local art

We have done both, if you are into beer brewing then do the tour at Caybrew, we go now for the samples. When we did 7 Fathoms a few years ago they just opened, a guy told us about the rum and gave us samples.

West Bay beach has some

i would suggest a fabulous meal at casa novas.

italian food over looking gorgeous waters.

tarpons at play near the shore.

great italian staff

i take all my friends visiting here

delicious and great presentation

costing about 50 per head.

 

for more local food with spice

take a walk north 20 minutes

and go to Da Fish Shack.

ask for the escovitch fish…

snapper pan fried with a spicy clear vinaigrette sauce

cheap beers

local patrons

sunset house is nice but…

its a taxi ride away

by time sunset comes you will be back on the ship

sorry Tommy but Sunset house/My Bar can be a taxi ride, but is also walkable.We stayed there and walked to Georgetown twice a day. It's a cool -place to watch the planes flying over and the view of the sea is great.

New Orleans was fun. We went to Cafe de Monde and they had good food. We got on the Carnival Dream.

Café du Monde only has beignets, so I'll bet the food was good.

My Bar is always our first stop.

Go on curacao-travelguide.com, a website that give descriptions of beaches.

Both beaches are equally great and beautiful, you can't go wrong with either.

it might be a 15 minute walk,we stayed at Sunset House and walked into Georgetown 3 times one day.

I'll second going to My Bar, also check out Breezes By The Bay, outdoor seating overlooks the docks and great people watching place.

The only thing good about Big Black Dick rum is the bottle, the rum isn't very good, Tortuga is better.
