  1. Thanks for the pictures. We cannot wait to go.

    Hi Kelly,

Here are some photos of Cabin 8088. The closet and drawers kept opening because of all the rocking and rolling we were doing in the bad weather. We ended up sliding over one of the chairs against the drawers and the foot stool in front of the closet to keep them closed. Generally we don't photograph our open drawers etc.:D

  2. Thanks it's just hard to feel so bad and only being 40

We want to get off in Falmouth cause that will be our actual anniversary and just ask a local if there is a small church somewhere and we will ask someone to do it. Nothing fancy.

We renewed our vows on our first cruise. We did it on a sea day. We had room service for dinner and renewed our vows then. It was really sweet and special.

  3. I am 44 and have fibro.

I try to go into the trip as rested and healthy as I can. So 4-6 weeks ahead of time I make sure to not overcrowd my schedule and get plenty of rest.

This past November I was having an awful flare when we cruised. I spent a lot of time resting. Sometimes my husband came back to the room, and sometimes he kept doing whatever it was he was doing.

What is helpful for me is to have reasonable expectations of myself. We only did one excursion...a 6 hour catamaran sail. It was lovely, but I learned too long for me.

The other islands we planned beach days. We had 5 ports. By the 5th one, even the beach day was going to be too much for me, so we headed to the port shopping for about an hour and then spent a lazy day at the pool. It was a lovely day.

So I plan low key, expect to rest and nap, and try not to cram too much stuff into the day. I also plan the week after our return to be low key and nothing scheduled...if possible. This last time that wasn't possible.

I hope you have a fabulous trip.

  4. We've only been on two cruises. The first steward we had was like that, but I didn't know any better. Sometimes it was made up early while we were at breakfast, but then other days we'd go to breakfast, wander around, head to the pool, come back right before lunch and still not made up.

Our last steward was awesome. Only one day did she not have the room made up early. And it was always turned down while we were at dinner, 7:30 MTD. We went to the concierge lounge every evening then dinner, so she knew we'd be out. We did leave her notes and thank yous and tipped above our pre-paid at the end because she was awesome.

The steward the next block down from us was always cleaning. She'd still be making up rooms mid-day. We'd come back to the room at 11, and she'd still be turning down rooms. I would have hated that.

  5. Thanks for keeping this list updated! I have been corresponding with Denzil on the EX, looks like is being replaced in a few weeks.

Do you know when he is leaving? We are sailing on Nov. 3rd. Denzil has been very helpful with the few questions I've had, and was hoping he would still be there when we sailed.

  6. WI today and very pleased with a -1.8 and a grand total of 17! Now if I could figure out why it is just chugging along. I know my age has a lot to do with it and because menopause is the devil incarnate.

If we all just do what is needed and make it part of our lives.....the pounds will follow! Afterall, what is the alternative?! We all can use our imaginations on that one and it is not a pretty picture:eek:

Keep ur eye on the prize and maybe we will learn a little something along the way.

    What are your thoughts?

Congrats on your loss :) How long ago did you start WW?

You're right, just make it a part of our lives and however long it takes, it takes. It took me over 3 years to lose 100 lbs. It felt like an eternity then, but now I'm like, "Eh, it was 3 years."

We have two choices. Make healthy changes and lose weight, however slowly. Or not, and at the very least maintain or probably gain. I'd gain if I didn't keep doing the things I learned along the way.

  7. Hi All....I have been faithfully tracking....but do need to up my exercise..It often makes me chuckle when they recommend you walk 30 minutes a day....I walk almost eight hours a day at work ( I have this theory if you get paid for it it doesn't count :D )

Do most of you weigh daily or do hold out until your weekly weigh in?

I am thinking I should refrain from weighing daily...sometimes the scale can sure make you go "Huh ??" when you know you have been so good.

I suppose the true picture is what the scale says on a weekly basis.

I was happy to find Crystal Light in liquid form ... a great help with my water consumption...large ,large glass, lots of ice...and strawberry lemonade flavor ...I do believe the water makes a difference to your skin.

    Have a great day everyone.

Do you have an ActiveLink? I love that I can know how many activity points I earn just living my life. I'm not a big exerciserer, but I walk and am on my feet all of the time and earn 2-4 APs a day.

Sometimes I weigh daily and sometimes not. All depends on how it is messing with my mind. If I am getting discouraged from weighing daily, I have to stop. You're right, what matters is your weight from week to week. Good "why the scales lie". It is such an interesting article.

  8. Been on here off/on. I did the old plan over 12 years ago and lost over 50 pounds. Have kept if off, except last winter a few pounds creeped in so decided to go back but to meetings. (Work at hospital who has a mtg. there for us!!) Went back April 1 and hit my goal at yesterdays weigh in.

I had a few weeks where the scale stood still and probably would have gotten very frustrated if not for an awesome leader!!

For those loving the "free" fruit. Remember if the scale won't budge or even gaining a tiny bit....look back at your tracking and check on the fruit. After so many a day....they are not free anymore!!

Someone stated on here about it being a lifestyle change and I think last winter I forgot that!!!:( I think this 9 pounds was harder to lose than when I lost 50!!!!:)

Hope everyone has a good day!!

    Congratulations :)

  9. Welcome to Lynn. WI this morning, just down .3. I'm .1 lbs away from where I was 3 weeks ago. I used 30 of the weekly allowance, not a good idea for me. I am thankful for the .3, but am feeling uninspired to stick with the program. I've always done this, lose 25-30 lbs and then give up. I've done it so many times, even with WW. I can feel myself wanting to eat whatever I want. The urge is there, finding it hard to resist it. Sorry, feel like Debbie Downer with this negativity, but feel the need to share with other WW members. What do you do to stay motivated?

When I'm feeling unmotivated, I remind myself why I want this. Do you have a list of reasons you want to lose weight? Sometimes the reason you started is no longer a reason after losing 25-30 lbs.

When my members are frustrated and sharing that they just feel like giving up. I ask them to give me 3 reasons why quitting is a good idea, and what positive things can come from that. Usually the only thing you have to gain by quitting, is the weight you lost and sometimes more.

I like to jot down 3 or 4 things I did right that day in my tracker. For a while I kept a separate journal for these things....I went through a 5 month plateau, and it kept me motivated to have it separate. Sometimes it wasn't fabulous things, but a better choice I made. I had 10 points of ice cream that I measured out and tracked instead of the whole pint. 10 points of ice cream isn't the best choice, but it is much better than throwing caution to the wind.

  10. Congrats all you losers :)

I lost .6 lbs. this week...which surprises me. The two weeks previously, I've had awesome on plan weeks and big gains. This past weekend....I was not so much OP...this week, a loss. Crazy body of mine. Sometimes what I did 2 weeks ago shows on the scale, so I'm a little nervous about next week

But, I'm back to being diligent in tracking, the good health guidelines, and walking. I feel better physically and emotionally when I do those things. I like the boundaries of tracking, and feel much more in control when I do.
