This is the best advice I have heard. I wash my hands in an obsessive compulsive manner when on board.

If there are RCI ships that you don't want to see home porting in Southampton...great!

 

Send them to Liverpool.

 

I hope that RCI will see their way to bringing turnarounds to the north west at some point in the not too distant future. Much easier to get to for us north of Birmingham.

Well said. It would be great if they sailed from the north. It's a pain to get to Southampton or Harwich from the Scottish Borders.

Just to say I hate the Quantum Class ships and I don't want Anthem to come to UK as I love Indy, What are your thoughts?

I'm a bit sceptical of the new ships but I'm open minded enough to say I don't hate them.

Only been on Indy once and it was a fab ship. Sure the Anthem will be fantastic.

We were on Splendour last summer in a forward port side cabin second deck from the top.

There were no particularly rough seas but we experienced no issues with motion.

First cruise on Voyager. Was waiting in the Theatre to go on an excursion when I realised I had forgot the camera. Dashed back to the cabin and then got lost on the way back to the theatre. (My sense of direction is legendary)

My wife told me off ( very loudly) in front of about 200 people.

We are fairly new to cruising (the last 5 years) and have always cruised RCI. It fitted in with our circumstances initially because we had young(ish) children and we liked the look of the ships. After 5 cruises with RCI, we are considering trying celebrity. During our last cruise in the Med, the afternoon belly flop competition on the pool deck kinda tipped me over the cliff. The bingo announcements when I was taking a nap were particularly annoying too.

Just looking for some comparisons on food, entertainment, general atmosphere on the pool deck. The kids are now 14 and love swimming and the gym. They have never really gone for the kids club stuff and enjoy just hanging out on deck.

Do you think Celebrity would suit us ?

Hi,

For the med cruises, it's nice to sit out on the balcony especially if it's a port intensive cruise and you are coming into new places each morning. It's also really nice to sit out in the evening with some wine.

If you go further north (Norway or the Baltic) then the scenery is so stunning I would rather go with a balcony. We sailed into Stockholm a couple of years ago and the scenery going past the balcony was amazing.

What itinerary are you planning on ?
