  1. We just returned from the Breeze. This was our 8th cruise, and we have cruised on 4 different cruise lines. The Breeze is a beautiful ship, with outstanding amenities. We loved many things about it. Some highs: The food in the main dining rooms, the buffet areas, Cucina del Capitano, and the RedFrog Pub. Our balcony cabin was clean and fresh looking, and the cabin steward and his team were great. Getting on and off the ship was always quick and easy. The hot tubs on deck 5 were nice, although often crowded. We enjoyed the bars and club areas, and everything in between. We have never been on a ship with as many outside areas for sitting. The lows: The shows were terrible! We went to several of the shows in the Ovation Theater, and wish we had skipped them all. We also wished that there was an adult only pool. The two small pools were not enough for the thousands of passengers. Also, by the afternoon the pools were cloudy looking. First thing in the morning they were clear and clean, but they didn't stay that way for long!

We enjoyed the ports, and thanks to CC we were well prepared. We went on a private excursion to Gibbs Cay in Grand Turk, did the Blue Hole and river tubing with Peat Taylor in Jamaica, and went to the Sheraton in Nassau.

We had a great vacation and will spend some time today looking for our next destination.

What exactly did you do at the Sheraton? How were you able to book this? My DH and I are looking for options in case we decide not to do Atlantis. Thanks

  2. We stay on Lido and will let the kids (10 and 12) go once or twice late at night. They just think it is really cool to go get pizza and ice cream at midnight for some reason! If I was on Riveria I am not sure I would do the same thing.

We always give ours parameters - you can be at these places and must check in at this time.....and make it clear that if security brings them back to the room that is where they will stay the rest of the cruise. Works great for us and the kids have never gotten in trouble.....

This will be my first cruise with my children. We have a balcony on lido. They are excited to just leave the room and go get pizza and bring back to the room without having to travel far. For some reason this is cool to them. We also have guidelines in place that I have been drilling into their heads and will continue to drill into their heads until we disembark:D

loving your review!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D my DD will be going with me on this cruise. It will be her first one and she wants to try out Circle C. I am excited about the many activities that they have for them to do. Thanks so much for posting these. Just curious how close the activities may come to the 6 day itinerary. keep it coming. We leave for Miami in 38 days:rolleyes:. Hoping to read your full review by then

  4. Our main reason for picking the Breeze was the ship, not the itinerary. After sailing two straight Fantasy class ships (Imagination, Fascination) we realized that we needed a new ship with more things to do. I had followed the Breeze for awhile after it was announced in 2011 and after our trip on the Fascination, we knew that it would be our next ship. So glad that it was!

I subscribed to your review and just love it!!! My group leaves in 68 days to start our vacation and reading reviews like yours full of pics and helpful information helps to pass the time and tame my cruise fever!!!!:D

  5. Great review and pics. We are sailing the same itinerary 12/1 and picked this cruise just to be on the Breeze. We were not in favor of the port stops in Jamaica or Nassau, but will do quick shore visits, especially to Fish Fry in Nassau, and then enjoy the free time on board the ship. Congrats on all of the winnings and especially the generosity to the children's hospital.

My group will also be on this booking for 12/1. We picked it just to be on the Breeeze as well (and my DD will be celebrating her 13th bday while onboard). I have been to Nassau 2 years ago on Destiny. I am curious as to what the fish fry is all about. I do remember seeing this mentioned in another post on CC. Can you shed some light on this for me?? Thanks

  6. Hello all. I have been trying to find the Camp Carnival capers for the 6 day cruise on the Breeze. Our group will have kids in all age groups for Camp Carnival and one for Circle C.

Does anyone have a copy of them or a link that I can check out. We will be sailing December 1, 2013 and wanted an idea of the activities they may have for the children.

    Thanks in advance

  7. Thanks for your review and pictures of the Breeze!!!! I am sailing this ship December 2013 with my family. This will be my kids first cruise. I was blown away by how Club 02 looks and was wondering how Circle C looks (my oldest will be in this club).

I did have a question, what was the weather like? I have never cruised in winter months. From your pics I was getting mixed views on this with some people in hoodies and some in bikinis. Any insight you have on this would be great!!!! :D

  8. According to the Southwest page: "On May 21, 2012, we will open our schedule for sale through January 4, 2013."

So, now to keep watching, since I need Feb 2013.

I just want to thank you so much!!! Usually I do not go to these sticky posts but I was curious as to the type of information in them. I have actually been watching Airtran and Southwest website to see when they will open up past November 2, 2012 as my group and I need air travel for December 8-15, 2012. I have never saw that message on their website but am glad that you did and that you posted it. I now have something to tell my group and plans to make since I finally have a concrete date.:D

  9. I'd been using Dollar for a number of years to shuttle to POM, and this past October 2nd, 2010 (see below) I learned the hard way that they do not offer shuttle service anymore. Alamo and Thifty still do. We begged our way onto Thrifty's shuttle, but you shouldn't expect the same luck. This June I'm going with Thrifty. I believe no other rental car companies have shuttle service to POM from MIA. Hertz does have a location downtown that provides shuttle service to POM.

I will be renting a car from FLL and returning it on embarkation day to MIA. I called Alamo in MIA and they assured me that they still do have the free shuttle service from MIA to POM, and that they let you out right where the Carnival porters are handling the luggage. I agree that Alamo is a little more pricey, but you can't really put a price on having a piece of mind. This is a vacation. Things like this should not be a concern. I am glad that I am finding all of these helpful tips out. These boards are really helping to make this trip much more enjoyable for me than my previous trip where I knew nothing about any of this:)

  10. I just returned from a cruise, we rented from dollar from Ft. Lauderdale and returned to Miami airport, they have a shuttle service, very reliable, air conditioned and clean, when u drop off, go to the 3rd floor, walk to the end, those r where the pier shuttles are at.....

Thanks for the information. My question is this: will the shuttle drop you off directly where the taxi cabs and charter buses would drop you off at? We will be doing a one way rental from FLL and returning the car to MIA. We are sailing from POM. We are trying to find the easiest way that will not cost us much money. Will the shuttle take us back to FLL from POM? Any suggestions or input is great!!!:)
