Would you recommend the 3.5 hour White Pass Rail & Klondike Highway Motorcoach and train ride OR the 8.25 hour Yukon Expedition & White Pass Scenic Railway & Motorcoach?????

We are doing our first Alaskan Cruise in July of 2024. We are hoping to do a whale watch, but not with the cruise line. Would love any recommendations and helpful hints.
