  1. Definitely read the fine print. I know on some of the cards they say you are covered if you pay any part of the cost with that card. But there are many others that say the whole cost must be paid with that card. In that case you couldn't use multiple cards and have coverage.

Does anyone know if there is a pre-existing condition waiver exclusion with the Chase Sapphire card? I have coverage with my American Airlines Citi Mastercard and they have assured me that as long as you pay for the entire trip with the card, you are covered for cancellation/interruption for any covered medical reason with no pre-existing condition exclusion.

  2. Beware!!

After many cruises to Europe, South America, Asia, and Africa where we brought unlimited bottles of wine on board without charge, we just returned from our cruise around Cape Horn and there was a wine table at EVERY port to check each purchase over the allowed 2 bottle limit and charge the $15!!

We have also been on Caribbean cruises where the limits were enforced. I believe it varies ship to ship.

  3. Following are parts of questions I posted on the Princess Facebook page followed by Princess answer:

Me: If there is OBC leftover following the first leg of a B2B, would it be possible to carry it over to the second leg?

Me: I am also concerned that the vouchers I received from my TA for all five of my upcoming cruises clearly state all of my OBCs are refundable ("yes" under "refundable" for each OBC), where my personalizer has been changed to list all but the military OBC as nonrefundable. Isn't that bad practice to change the terms, especially after final payment?

Princess: Regarding your back-to-back Emerald Princess voyages, we will be able to transfer any leftover OBC from the first voyage onto the second voyage. We will have one of our representatives contact you directly regarding your OBCs and which are refundable vs non-refundable, to ensure that we provide the correct level of detail for your specific OBCs.

Interesting, as I just spoke with a Princess rep who indicated that in the case of a B2B the onboard credits would NOT carry over!!! So what is the REAL answer???

  4. Cruise credits also multiply if you book a cruise that can be booked as a b2b. If you book a 10-day cruise that can also be booked as two five-day cruises you should get 2 cruise credits. If that doesn't happen just contact Princess and they will fix it for you.

Are you sure of this? I've taken several cruises that I booked as a single, but which were also sold as two separate cruises. I have never received more than one credit for those. However, I did get 2 credits for those B2B's with separate booking numbers. Can you elaborate.

  5. I have had the same problem for several weeks. Get to the last part of the booking and always get an error message. I have called Princess and they say it probably is because I am using Mac software. They do not seem to have a tech department to talk to that can look at my account. Things certainly have changed with my account but they seem to have no clue. I have no problem booking at any other travel websites.

I have had the same problem for a couple of months now. I used to book online with no difficulty. The IT dept (to whom we cannot speak directly) has told me (through the customer relations dept) several conflicting reasons why I am having difficulty booking, none which make any sense. Sometimes they say it is related to a goodwill credit I got recently (I had the problem long before I got the credit), another time they suggested I booked too many cruises (I am elite and take many cruises) and then they said it must be my computer (we use Windows). Two weeks ago the customer relations agent called me to say they had fixed the problem and I should try to book. I did a test booking and it worked; however when I tried the following day to book something I wanted, it was the same old story. Very disappointing. However, I am glad I have some company. I was beginning to feel discriminated against!! Clearly it is a Princess problem. I hope someone from Princess reads this thread and takes some corrective action.
