  1. Hey - update - I eventually used the 'email' located on their webpage.  I was using the 'book now' and 'contact us' buttons on the website and wasn't getting answers.  As soon as I emailed on a fresh email,  they answered and said they have been having trouble with their website and don't know why.   I got all my answers... signed up and sent in my deposit!  I'm very excited!!!!!  Responses were all really quick this way!

  2. We are two couples hoping to book this as an afternoon excursion. (May 1) We don't dock until 10:00 AM but stay til 8:00 PM.  Several emails have been sent to them

and we still do not have any responses back from them.  Does anyone else experience a hard time getting info on available tours for certain dates., etc.?   I think we are the only ship in port that day and I wonder if that means they won't run any tours?   We really want to do this!

  3. I have been on 9 carnival cruises and 1 RCI (allure) I don't recall even 1 instance of bad behavior, but then again, I don't go looking for it either.

I don't need to "prove" a point to anyone nor feel I need to respond to people that aren't kind. Easy enough to enjoy my vacation and ignore anything I don't enjoy.

A lot of life is a matter of perspective, if there is a situation I am uncomfortable with, I simply move along and ignore whatever. I don't let things bother me. Makes life a whole lot easier...and happier.

    :*:)

  4. Cruise the Vineyards can be purchased on board our ships (ask your dining room waiter) or by calling ‘The Fun Shops’ Department at 1-800-522-7648, 8:00am-10:00pm ET. Cruise the Vineyards is not offered online. You may drink the wine in your stateroom or dining room only. Unconsumed wine will not be refunded but you may take home unopened bottles.

  5. Recommend the Cabana's at HMC - on the excursion page under your booking. Totally worth the money. You get off early, (tender port) and fruit tray, water/pop, snorkel gear, floaty mat, lounge chairs.., etc, etc. and get to enjoy the 'little piece of heaven' as early as you possibly can. I remember when we were in HMC some friends never did make it off the ship because the tendering line was so long and it took so long they ended up not bothering. With the cabana you get to go off with priority. I think it's still the same. And you get protection from the sun - so you can stay all day!

  6. Dinner in the dining room was good last night and tonight. The "old fashioned bbq" above the buffet is sooooo delicious. Literally falling off the bone good!

Had great weather today in Nassau, smooth seas, nice rooms and ship. All personnel are very nice and kind.

Is this BBQ in place of the fish and chips? And is it a Fee for the BBQ?

  7. I know, so of you will call us cheap. But we do buy wine and even wine packages, but with our 'free' bottle that we take in our carry on... we've corked it in our room, carried the whole bottle to the dining room. We will have a glass of that one with dinner, then top off our glasses as we leave dinner, and take a full glass with us to the next venue, (piano bar, comedy, etc). That about depletes that bottle between the both of us. !

  8. ahh will explain the OP reference to hurry to get to the lido deck

(i couldnt imagine people hurrying to get food--LOL

The Pub is not on Lido. Red Frog Bar is, the Red Frog Pub is inside usually on deck 5.

  9. Can Carnival divide up the OBC during check-in? Will they put $25 each on 4 of our sign and sail cards for our $100 cabin credit or will the $100 only be able to be put on one person's card?

  10. We've been on the Breeze, and had an enjoyable cruise. The weather in the Western Caribbean in February is usually very pleasant. However, you can always go on Google and check the forecast a few days before packing to see if you might need something specific, such as a light jacket for a cool evening, or a rain poncho in case there's rain in the forecast for one of your ports. We're not foodies, so I have no major complaints about the food. For lunch, or a midday snack, the Deli is worth a stop. (Ask for double meat)! My favorite from there is the turkey wrap. As for the MDR, I always try to get seafood if it's offered. However, steer clear of the calamari. It's kind of chewy. I don't think calamari is supposed to taste like cooked rubber bands. As for entertainment, if the band Deja Vu is still performing there, make sure you go see them. They're one of the best "house" bands we've seen on Carnival. I'm not a big fan of the production shows in the main theater, and tend to avoid them. The comedy club is very popular. If you're planning to go, you'll need to get in line at least 45 minutes to an hour ahead if you're hoping to get a seat. Let the "kid" in you come out (and order a banana split for dessert off the kids' menu, if it's still available) and spend some time at the Waterworks. It's a lot of fun. If you don't have to absolutely be poolside, you'll find plenty of available lounge chairs along both sides of the ship on Deck 11 above the Lido area.

(See my input in bold above!!)

  11. Thanks for this post. I was just able to get the 11:00 AM check in time for our party of 4 for our Liberty 4 day cruise in Feb! Can't wait! We are having friends drop us to the port around 9:30 so we will just wait for our check in time and then I guess we wait for our 'zone' to be called to board...? I don't care.. We'll be on as soon as possible.. .. and vacation will have started.... ! :p:p

  12. We were three people so we rented a jeep. They take the sides And top off if the weather is good And sunny, we felt bad for all the people in the golf carts because they can only go slow... we went up to the lighthouse. Opportunity to drive on the 'other side' of the street was so neat. At the light house we were able to get cheap really cold beers.... and walk about. Our daughter (20) drove us back ... parked the jeep At jacks shack and spend a bit of time there. It was well worth the extra to have the jeep!
